Abstract
Se presenta un método para halogenar un precursor para formar un procatalizador de polimerizacion mediante el cual un precursor complejo de alcoxido concontenido de magnesio/metal de transicion se pone en contacto con un agente de halogenacion seleccionado entre haluro de alquilaluminio, TiX4, SiX4, BX3, y Br2, donde el haluro y X son cada uno respectivamente un halogeno y cuando un haluro de alquilaluminio, TiX4, SiX4, y Br2 se usan como el agente de halogenacion,se usan juntos o combinados enuna halogenacion de etapas multiples. El procatalizador puede ser luego convertido en un catalizador de polimerizacion deolefina mediante su contacto con un cocatalizador y opcionalmente un agente de control de selectividad, y emplearse para polimerizar olefinas con altorendimiento y propiedades convenientes.
