Abstract

Catalizador para isomerización y metátesis bifuncional para -de manera concurrente- isomerizar 1-buteno a 2-buteno y para formar un producto de metátesis que comprende propileno; en donde el catalizador para isomerización y metátesis bifuncional comprende un compuesto catalizador que comprende al menos un elemento seleccionado de tungsteno, tántalo, niobio, molibdeno, níquel, paladio, osmio, iridio, rodio, vanadio, rutenio y renio para proveer actividad de metátesis sobre un soporte que comprende al menos un elemento del Grupo IA, IIA, IIB y IIIA de la Tabla Periódica de los Elementos: en donde un área de superficie expuesta del soporte provee tanto actividad de isomerización para la isomerización de 1-buteno a 2-buteno, como sitios reactivos para la adsorción de los tóxicos de los compuestos catalizadores. En otras formas de realización, el compuesto catalizador puede incluir al menos un elemento seleccionado de aluminio, galio, iridio, hierro, molibdeno, níquel, niobio, osmio, paladio, fósforo, renio, rodio, rutenio, tántalo, titanio, tungsteno y vanadio.
