and S-70) in a weight ratio of 50:50, mixed for 10 minutes with vigorous agitation. The water on the surface of the mass was then decanted off and the glue-like sticky mass was removed from the mixer, spread out on a cup and air-dried overnight.

After the water and hexane had evaporated, the now no longer sticky PETN binder mixture (weight ratio 70:30) was rolled out between brass rollers to form a flexible sheet.

The PETN used had a particle size of 0.1 to 10 microns, with the largest particle dimensions being 0.1-2.0 microns on average.

The sheet had a density of 1.21 g / cm! and an impact sensitivity, measured in the standard drop test (5 kg weight) of 141.9 cm (50% detonation point). The leaf could be detonated by a No. 6 explosive cap, the detonation speed being 6500 m / sec. It was firm and flexible, retained any shape it was given, and had a good shelf life.
