Man kann indessen den erstrebte Erfolg auch erzielen, wenn man biegsame Windfangfliichen verwendet, welche vom Steuermanne derart betätigt werden, dass diese sonst ebenen Flächen eine nach der einen oder der anderen Seite gekrümmte Form annehmen.
Da die Betätigung der Steuervorrichtung nur wenig Kraft bedarf, wird dieselbe vorteilhaft an den Oberkörper des Steuermannes oder an seine Stuhllehne gekuppelt, so dass die Flugmaschine bloss dadurch, dass der Steuermann den Oberkörper in senkrechter Lage hält, in wagerechter Stellung gehalten werden kann.

1. Steuervorrichtung für Flugmaschinen, bei welcher die Verstellung der Steuerflächen mittelbar durch Bewegung von Hilfsfachen bewirkt wird, die um eine quer zur Flugrichtung liegende Achse verstellbar sind" dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Hilfsflächen um eine in der Flugrichtung liegende Achse derart drehbar angeordnet sind, dass der beim Verstellen der Hilfsflächen durch den Fahrtwind hervorgerufene Flächendruck eine Drehbewegung der Hilfsflächen bewirkt, welche Drehbewegung mittelbar zum Verstellen der Steuerfläche dient.
