Es ergibt sieh hiebei die von vornherein nicht zu erwartende Erscheinung, dass man bei Gegenwart von Tonerdesalzen die Reduktion der Chromsäure mit einfach-oder doppeltschwefligsaurem Natron auch ohne weiteren Zusatz einer Säure durchführen kann ; die Ausscheidung von Tonerdehydrat bzw. eines komplexen basischen TonerdeChromoxydsa ! zes in der Blösse geht in ähnlicher Weise vor sich, wie dies im Stammpatent be- schrieben ist.
Die Reaktionsgleichungen, nach welchen hiebei die Reduktion der Chromsäure eriolgt, sind folgende :
