Abstract
The function monitoring device has a data processor (UE) receiving all the inputs for the schematic track display (ST), with storage of the switch conditions of the signalling image elements. A stored list of permissible logic rules is held in the data processor for comparison with the actual switch conditions, to provide an indication when a non-permissible switch condition is detected. The data processor checks the validity of the non-permissible switch condition and provides a warning signal only if the checked indication is consistent. <IMAGE>
