Abstract

A multicoloured patterned rubber floor covering has rubber particles of at least one contrasting colour pressed and vulcanised into it. The particles contain at least two constituents whose colours are different from each other and are also different from the base colour. The constituents penetrate each other in a wedge or strip shape and the part showing on the surface of the floor covering must be at least 50% of the same colour. The total visible surface (n) with particles of two colours (1,2) must satisfy the relation ~En1 / ~En2 or with more than two colours (1.......x) ~EN1 / ~En2 / ~Enx.
