Abstract

The invention relates to a casting chamber, especially for die-casting metal, comprising an outer shell (2) and an inner cylinder (3) which is placed in said outer shell (2) and connected thereto, especially with a shrink fit. The invention is characterised in that at least one coolant channel (5, 9, 11) is configured between the outer shell (2) and the inner cylinder (3), said coolant channel extending over at least part of the axial length of the casting chamber (1).
