Abstract
Lift system for buildings comprises a cabin (2) connected via a traction device to a drive mechanism. The cabin is arranged so that it moves vertically in a vertical tubular body (1) acting as the guide for the cabin and having at least one opening closed by an access door (9) on each floor. The tubular body is closed at the bottom. A free space (6) is located between the bottom (5) of the tubular body and the lowest opening (11). At least the base plate (7) of the cabin or the base plate and a peripheral seal extensively or completely fill the cross-section of the tubular body.
