Abstract

The device has a lock (2) associated with a panel with a driving rod connecting sliding element (16,17) movable by operating a press knob (14) to retract drive latches, whereby operating the knob causes control elements to be displaced to drive the latch (6) and the locking element (8) of a lock from associated entry openings. At least one of the control elements has a pivotable control lever (32) that forms an elbow lever gear with a linkage element (36) connected to an arm (25) of the press knob and a control section (34).
