Abstract

The grinding tool has a carrier body (1) secured to the machine drive and provided as a disc (3) with at least one surface which is brought into contact with the workpiece (37). The disc is sufficiently thin to allow its elastic flexure perpendicular to the grinding plane, its centre provided with a fixing for a coupling elment attaching it to the machine drive. The grinding surface is provided by an elastic cushioning layer with an abrasive covering, applied to the outer peripheral edge of the grinding disc.
