Cette invention concerne un procédé de fabrication et un produit nouveaux constitués par une lanière ou ceinture en cuir tresse,qui est caractérisée par le fait qu'elle est formée d'une seulebande de cuir ou matière analogue et qui est partiellement ou entièrement découpée longitudialement en trois ou plusieurs lacets ou lanières pouvant âtre tressées entre elles sans la concours d'une autrematière rapportée.
La caractéristique du procédé réside dans le fait que la ceinture est tressée ou tissée de telle manière que chacun des lacets a tour de rêle,après avoir servi comme chaîne, est replié pour former la, trame une seule fois et continue ensuite de nouveau comme chaîne.

Ce procédé de fabrication communiqua à l'article fabriqué un aspect tout nouveau ayant un effet décoratif bien marqué.

Dans cette figure la bande en cuir 1 est découpée suivant sa longueur en un grand nombre de lacets ,1,3,4,etc, Tous les lacets, à l'exception d'un seul,forment la chaîne de tressage en fabrication. Ainsi,par exemple,le commencement da tressage dans la figure, représente tous les lacets, sauf le lacet 5, qui sont employés comme chaîne de tissage dans la fabrication représentée.
Le lacet 5 lui-même sert de trame une seule fois moyen. nant son repliage à angle droit,afin de s'engager entre les autreslacets de la ceinture.
Chaque lacet est employé à tour de rôle comme trame et continue ensuite comme chaîne, do facon qu'un tissageou tressage est obtenu du genre représenté dans la figure annexée.
Etant donné que les différents lacets peuvent être cola.. riés en différentesteintes, il s'en-suit que le tressage ter- miné présente un aspect agréable au point de vue déc or ati on.
