Mémoire des criptif à l'appui d'une demande de BREVET-d' INVENTION .
La présente invention a pour objet un appareil pour onduler les cheveux soit en les humectant , soit à sec mais jamais en chauffant l'appareil .
Il a l'avantage particulier d'une part , d'onduler les cheveux automatiquement et d'une façon parfaite , d'autre part , de ne pas déformer par le retrait de l'appareil les vagues ainsi obtenues , au moyen d'un dispositif levier spécialement étudié à cet effet .
Cet appareil a en outre la particularité grace à sa courbure d'épouser parfaitement la forme de la tête et ceci sur n'importe quelle face du cuir chevelu , permettant ainsi une continuité d'ondulation .
L'exécution de cet appareil selon fg.I, choisi uniquement à titre d'exemple , pouvant être modifié , montre un appareil complet , vu en perspective .
Cet appareil fabriqué en métal , bakélite ou autres matières comprimées , se compose : d'une fourche à peigne 1 , fixe , dont les dents 2 disposées sur chaque branche de la fourche dans une même direction sont ici à titre d'exemple de gauche à droite .
Les deux extrémités 3 de la fourche-peigne 1 ( fg. 1 et fg.4 ) sont recourbées vers le haut formant ainsi un support d'axe destiné à recevoir un corps mobile 4 ( fg. 1 et fg. 3) qui peut pivoter au moyen de son axe dans les supports 3.
Le corps mobile 4 en forme de T comporte un tube 5 , creux et courbé , et possède à son extrémité une fente 6 .

Autour de ce tube 5 , glisse un peigne mobile 7 fg.2 au moyen de deux bagues 8 et 9 , qui lui servent de guide .
Le peigne 7 , possède à sa partie inférieure des dents disposées en sens contraire de celles qui se trouvent sur la fourche à peigne 1 fig.l , ici à titre d'exemple de droite à gauche .
La bague de guide 9 fig.2 du peigne mobile 7 possède d'un coté un crochet 10 et de l'autre coté une tirette 11 .
Le crochet 10 sert à fixer l'une des extrémités d'un ressort 12 fig.3 placé dans le tube 5 , et l'autre extrémité du ressort 12 est accrochée au milieu de l'axe 4 .
Le ressort 12 retient dans sa position normale le peigne mobile 7 vers l'axe mobile 4 .
Le mode d'emploi de cet appareil est le suivant :
On prend l'appareil dans une main et on retire par la tirette le peigne mobile jusqu'au maximum de sa course ; on pose ensuite l'appareil sur les cheveux destinés à être ondulés , en laissant reprendre au peigne mobile sa position normale par le jeu du ressort .
Les cheveux qui étaient plats avant la pose de l'appareil et le recul du peigne mobile , sont maintenant pris entre les dents à sens opposés et les cheveux sont déplacés par le recul du peigne de manière à produire une parfaite ondulation .
Si on a humecté préalablement les cheveux ils gardent après séchage la vague très prononcée par l'appareil et l' ondulateur peut alors être enlevé simplement par un mouvement basculant du peigne mobile vers le haut et ceci sans déranger les ondulations ainsi obtenues .
Quand on emploie l'appareil pour des cheveux à sec il faut le laisser plus longtemps .
Il est à souligner particulièrement , que dans les deux cas le résultat obtenu et la manière simple d'enlever l'appareil sont parfaits .

The present invention relates to an apparatus for waving the hair either by moistening them or dry, but never by heating the apparatus.
It has the particular advantage, on the one hand, of automatically waving the hair in a perfect manner, on the other hand, of not deforming the waves thus obtained by removing the device from the waves, by means of a lever device specially designed for this purpose.
This device also has the particularity, thanks to its curvature, of perfectly matching the shape of the head and this on any face of the scalp, thus allowing a continuity of waviness.
The execution of this device according to fg.I, chosen only as an example, can be modified, shows a complete device, seen in perspective.
This device made of metal, bakelite or other compressed materials, consists of: a fixed comb fork 1, whose teeth 2 arranged on each branch of the fork in the same direction are here by way of example from left to right.
The two ends 3 of the fork-comb 1 (fg. 1 and fg. 4) are curved upwards thus forming an axle support intended to receive a movable body 4 (fg. 1 and fg. 3) which can pivot. by means of its axis in the supports 3.
The T-shaped movable body 4 comprises a tube 5, hollow and curved, and has at its end a slot 6.

Around this tube 5, slides a mobile comb 7 fg.2 by means of two rings 8 and 9, which serve as a guide.
The comb 7 has at its lower part teeth arranged in the opposite direction to those which are on the comb fork 1 fig.l, here by way of example from right to left.
The guide ring 9 fig.2 of the movable comb 7 has on one side a hook 10 and on the other side a pull tab 11.
The hook 10 is used to fix one end of a spring 12 fig.3 placed in the tube 5, and the other end of the spring 12 is hooked in the middle of the axis 4.
The spring 12 retains the movable comb 7 in its normal position towards the movable axis 4.
The instructions for use of this device are as follows:
The device is taken in one hand and the movable comb is withdrawn by the pull tab to the maximum of its stroke; the device is then placed on the hair intended to be wavy, allowing the mobile comb to resume its normal position by the play of the spring.
The hair which was flat before the installation of the appliance and the recoil of the mobile comb, is now caught between the teeth in opposite directions and the hair is moved by the recoil of the comb so as to produce a perfect wave.
If the hair has been moistened beforehand, after drying, it retains the very pronounced wave of the device and the undulator can then be removed simply by a tilting movement of the mobile comb upwards and this without disturbing the waves thus obtained.
When using the appliance for dry hair, it should be left for a longer time.
It should be particularly emphasized that in both cases the result obtained and the easy way to remove the device are perfect.
