Abstract

<B><MU>PROCESSO E APARELHO PARA FUNDIR TIRA DE METAL<MV><D> Expõe-se a fundição de tira de metal (20) em cilindros gêmeos, pela rotação de cilindros de fundição paralelos (16) alimentados com metal fundido através de distribuidor (19a) e de bocal de distribuição (19b). Um digitalizador de raios X (44) analisa continuamente a espessura da tira (20) para produzir um sinal, o qual é uma medida contínua da variação de espessura ao longo da tira, decorrente de excentricidades dos cilindros de fundição (16). Este sinal controla a operação dos motores de acionamento de cilindros (53) para impor um padrão de variação de velocidade nos cilindros, de maneira a reduzir a amplitude das variações de espessura.
