Abstract

"PAINEL COMPóSITO MOLDADO" A presente invenção se refere a um painel compósito para proteção balística, que possui múltiplas camadas de material tecido a partir de fios estáveis mediante aquecimento com alta tenacidade e impregnados com resina matriz fundível a quente. As camadas são moldadas juntas para formar um painel isolado capaz de suportar balas de fuzil de alta potência. Os fios podem ser selecionados a partir de fios de poliamida (poli(p-fenileno tereftalamida)), fios de polibenzoxazol ou fios de polibenzotiazol. A resina matriz pode consistir de polietileno termoplástico. A tenacidade é de mais de 3550 MPa (28,0 gramas por denier).
