"PROCESSO E APARELHO DE FABRICAçãO PARA FORMAR INTEGRALMENTE UMA COSTURA RASGáVEL DENTRO DE UM MATERIAL DE COBERTURA DE GUARNIçãO DE ASSENTO E CONJUNTO DE ASSENTO AUTOMOTIVO TENDO UM COLCHãO INFLáVEL INTEGRADO". Uma montagem de assento automotivo é provida com um colchão inflável integrado. A montagem de assento compreende uma almofada de assento e um encosto montado na almofada de assento. Um material de cobertura de guarnição de almofada de assento cobre a almofada de assento e um material de cobertura de guarnição de encosto cobre o encosto. O conjunto de assento se caracteriza pelo fato de uma costura rasgável ser formada integralmente dentro de uma seção de rebordo almofadado do material de cobertura de guarnição do encosto de assento. A costura rasgável define uma linha frangível de enfraquecimento dentro do material de cobertura de guarnição onde o colchão inflável irromperá através da costura rasgável quando o mesmo for desdobrado e inflado para uma posição fora da montagem de assento. O equipamento compreende um gabarito (48) suportando o material de cobertura de guarnição (28). Uma crista elevada em forma C (50) estende-se para cima a partir do gabarito para encostar na superfície interna do material de cobertura de guarnição (28). Uma soldadora (52) é disposto adjacente à superfície externa do material de cobertura de guarnição (28) de modo que o material de cobertura de guarnição fique acunhado entre o gabarito (48) e a soldadora (52). A soldadora é alinhado com a crista elevada para formar a costura rasgável dentro do material de cobertura de guarnição.
