Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé pour produire du 1,1,1,3,3-pentafluorbutane purifié (HFC-365mfc) présentant une teneur réduite en chlorure d'hydrogène et fluorure d'hydrogène ou en impuretés insaturées. A cet effet, on traite le matériau à purifier dans la phase liquide, avec un sorbant inorganique solide ou avec des molécules diatomiques qui s'ajoutent à des liaisons multiples C-C. On traite de préférence le produit à purifier avec du fluor élémentaire. La teneur en chlorure d'hydrogène et en fluorure d'hydrogène peut être réduite à une valeur inférieure à 1 ppm, la teneur en composés chlorés (fluorés) insaturés à une valeur inférieure à 20 ppm et la teneur en composés C2 insaturés à une valeur inférieure à 10 ppm. On a en outre découvert que le fluorotrichloroéthylène pouvait servir de substance de contrôle lors de la surveillance de la purification de 1,1,1,3,3-pentafluorobutane.
