Abstract
L'invention concerne une pompe à cavités progressives, une pompe à engrenages ou une pompe à piston déplaceur (11), comprenant une enveloppe (12) délimitant une chambre de travail (14) présentant une entrée (24) et une sortie (26) et un élément de déplacement (16) relativement mobile à l'intérieur de la chambre de travail en vue de déplacer le matériau traité par la pompe, à travers la chambre de travail, de l'entrée vers la sortie. Au moins une surface de travail d'un composant (16, 54, 58) de la pompe qui, en cours d'utilisation est en contact avec le matériau traité dans la chambre de travail, est formée d'un matériau tel qu'un polyéthylène de poids moléculaire ultra élevé qui est rigide à une température de fonctionnement normal du composant, mais qui est fusible à une température prédéterminée supérieure à la température de fonctionnement normale, sans toutefois dépasser 170 ·C. Un tel composant comprend le rotor lorsqu'il s'agit d'une pompe à cavités progressives, au moins l'un des engrenages pour une pompe à engrenages, et la couronne du piston (44), les billes d'arrêt (54 et 58) de la soupape et/ou les sièges de soupape (52 et 56) dans le cas d'une pompe à piston déplaceur.
