Abstract

A cellular phone utilizing an optical sensor to provide a cursor pointing system for menu and content browsing. The present invention is also capable of linking with computer and controlling computer cursor utilizing said optical sensor. The present invention also includes an external projecting cursor system utilizing video recognition for controlling computer cursor on projector screen. The present invention further provides a charging apparatus utilizing piezoelectric element for extending battery life.

Claims (10)

1. A cellular phone comprising:
a) a cellular phone housing;
b) a power source;
c) a control circuit;
d) a memory medium, e) a wireless transceiver;
f) an antenna;
g) a screen for displaying information;
h) a speaker;
i) a microphone;
j) a keypad;
k) optical sensing means for detecting relative movement between cellular phone and residing plane;
l) at least one button for providing cursor selection, and m) control method for displaying and controlling cursor with said optical sensing means and said button
2. A cellular phone as defined in claim 1 further comprising a wheel scroll button;
3. A cellular phone as defined in claim 1 further comprising wireless communication means for providing cursor movement data and cursor selection data to a computer.
4. A cellular phone as defined in claim 3 wherein said wireless communication means is a wireless LAN protocol transceiver.
5. A cellular phone as defined in claim 3 wherein said wireless communication means is a USB
wireless transceiver attached to said computer in claim 3 communicating with a wireless transceiver installed within said cellular phone housing in claim 1.
6. A cellular phone as defined in claim 3 wherein said cellular phone in claim 3 communicating with a wireless transceiver installed within said computer in claim 3.
7. A cellular phone as defined in claim 3 wherein said speaker in claim 1 receives audio signal from said computer in claim 3 via said wireless communication means in claim 3, and said microphone in claim 1 provides audio signal to said computer in claim 3 via said wireless communication means in claim 3.
8. A cellular phone as defined in claim 3 wherein said cellular phone in claim 1 further comprising a camera for providing video data to said computer in claim 3 via said wireless communication means in claim 3.
9. A cellular phone comprising:
a) a cellular phone housing, b) a power source, c) a control circuit, d) a memory medium, e) a wireless transceiver, f) an antenna, g) a screen for displaying information, h) a speaker, i) a microphone, j) a keypad, m) at least one button for providing cursor selection n) a laser emitter for projecting a cursor on a projector screen o) a camera for providing image information to said control circuit, p) control method for determining cursor location on a projector screen, and q) wireless communication means for providing cursor location to a computer.
10. A cellular phone comprising:
a) a cellular phone housing, b) a rechargeable power source, d) a memory medium, e) a wireless transceiver, f) an antenna, g) a screen for displaying information, h) a speaker, i) a microphone, j) a keypad, k) at least one piezoelectric element associated with said keypad to transform impulse energy into electrical energy and store said electrical energy in said rechargeable power source.
