Abstract

La présente invention concerne une méthode de traitement dune matière dalimentation bitumineuse et deau contaminée. La matière dalimentation bitumineuse est mise en contact avec une liqueur dextraction et de leau contaminée pour former une pâte initiale. La pâte initiale est extraite par solvant pour former une pâte extraite qui comprend des matières solides, de leau contaminée et un extrait de bitume. Les matières solides sont séparées de lextrait de bitume. Le solvant est récupéré de lextrait de bitume pour former un produit de bitume. De leau de haute qualité et du solvant sont récupérés à partir des matières solides. En plus de lextraction de bitume, la méthode convertit leau contaminée en eau de haute qualité qui peut être utilisée dans lextraction dhydrocarbures à base deau ou dans la récupération thermique dhydrocarbures in situ.
