Description
-Verfahren zur Darstellung eines Küpenfarbstoffes. Im Hauptpatent ist ein Verfahren zur Darstellung eines Küpenfarbstoffes aus dem Kondensationsprodukt von Bzl-Halogenbenz- anthron und 4 . 4'-Diaminodiphtaloylcar bazol durch Behandeln mit Alkali beschrieben.
Es wurde nun gefunden, dass man in ganz analoger Weise einen ähnlichen Küpenfarb- stoff erhält, wenn- ;man das Kondensations produkt aus 1 Mol 2-Halogenbenzarithron und 1 Mol 5-Amino-4'-berizoyl-aminodiphtaloyl- carbazol, welch letzteres die Formel

besitzt, mit einem sauren Kondensationsmit tel behandelt, z. B. in konzentrierter Schwe felsäure erwärmt.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 10 Teile des Kondensationsproduktes aus 1 Mol 2-Halogenbenzanthron und 1 Mol 5 Amino-4'-benzoylaminodiphtaloylcarbazol (er hältlich z. B. durch Umsetzung der vorer wähnten Komponenten mit Natriumacetat und Kupferverbindungen in siedendem Nitro- benzol) werden mit 200 Teilen konzentrierter Schwefelsäure so lange auf<B>50-520</B> C er wärmt, bis die anfangs violettrote Lösungs farbe in ein Graugrün übergegangen ist.
Nach dem Erkalten giesst man das Reak tionsgemisch in Wasser, filtriert den Farb- stoff ab und wäscht ihn neutral. Man erhält so den neuen Farbstoff als braunschwarzen Teig, der aus brauner Küpe die vegetabilische Faser in schönen bordoroten Tönen färbt. Der Farbstoff ist in trockenem Zustande ein braunschwarzes Pulver, das sich in konzen trierter Schwefelsäure mit graugrüner Farbe löst.

It has now been found that a similar vat dye is obtained in a completely analogous manner if the condensation product of 1 mol of 2-halobenzarithrone and 1 mol of 5-amino-4'-berizoyl-aminodiphtaloyl-carbazole, the latter being the formula

owns, treated with an acidic condensation agent, z. B. heated in concentrated sulfuric acid.
<I> Example: </I> 10 parts of the condensation product from 1 mole of 2-halobenzanthrone and 1 mole of 5-amino-4'-benzoylaminodiphtaloylcarbazole (obtainable e.g. by reacting the aforementioned components with sodium acetate and copper compounds in boiling nitro benzene) are heated to <B> 50-520 </B> C with 200 parts of concentrated sulfuric acid until the initially violet-red solution color has turned gray-green.
After cooling, the reaction mixture is poured into water, the dye is filtered off and washed neutral. The new dye is thus obtained as a brown-black dough which, from a brown vat, dyes the vegetable fibers in beautiful bordeaux red tones. When dry, the dye is a brownish-black powder that dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid with a gray-green color.
