Description

  

  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Gemisches von     quaternären        Ammoniumvcrbindungen.       Gegenstand des Hauptpatentes ist ein  Verfahren zur Herstellung einer     quaternären          Ammoniumverbindung    durch Einwirkenlassen  von     Benzylchlorid    auf     Diäthyldodecylamin.     



  Gegenstand des vorliegenden Patentes ist  ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Gemi  sches von     quaternären        Ammoniumverbindun-          gen.    Das Verfahren ist dadurch     gekennzeich-          net,    dass man auf ein Gemisch von     Diäthyl-          alkylaminen,    wie es durch Umwandlung der  bei der     Verseifung    von natürlichen Fetten  entstehenden Fettsäuren in die entsprechen  den Amine unter Einführung von zwei Äthyl  gruppen in die     Aminogruppe    erhältlich ist,       Benzylchlorid    einwirken lässt.

   Die Reaktion  erfolgt zweckmässig unter Erwärmen und  kann in Gegenwart eines     Verdünnemittels,     wie Wasser oder Alkohol,     durchgeführt    wer  den. Das bei der Reaktion entstandene Pro  dukt bildet eine zähe gelbliche Masse, die  in Wasser zu einer klaren, stark schäumen  den Lösung löslich ist. Es hat netzende und    desinfizierende Eigenschaften und soll für  Desinfektionszwecke Verwendung finden.

      <I>Beispiel:</I>  Zu 240 Gewichtsteilen eines Gemisches  von     Diäthylalkylaminen,    wie es beispiels  weise durch katalytische Reduktion natür  licher Fette     bezw.    der daraus erhältlichen       Fettsäureamide    bei Gegenwart von     Diäthyl-          amin    gewonnen wird, fügt man 126 Gewichts  teile     Benzylchlorid    und erwärmt das Gemisch  unter Rühren 12 Stunden im Dampfbad. Nach  dem Erkalten bildet das     Reaktionsprodukt     eine zähe gelbliche Masse, die sich klar in  Wasser löst und dessen     wässrige    Lösungen  stark schäumen.
