aufeinander einwirken lässt. Die Umsetzung wird zweckmässig in Gegenwart eines Lösungs mittels und vorteilhaft unter Zusatz einer Säure ausgeführt, z. B. in Anwesenheit von Eisessig, welcher gleichzeitig als Lösungs mittel wirkt.
Das Natriumsalz des neuen Amidderivates bildet ein gelblich gefärbtes Pulver, das in Wasser unter starkem Schäumen klar löslich ist. Es kann als Textilhilfsmittel, z. B. als Waschmittel, Anwendung finden. Beispiel: 36 Teile Olsäureamid, 21,6 Teile ss-oxy- äthansulfonsaures Natrium und 18 Teile Para- formaldehyd werden gut vermischt und unter Rühren bei<B>70-80'</B> in 120 Vol.-Teile Eis essig eingetragen.
Man rührt während 20 Minu ten bei der angegebenen Temperatur und destilliert den Eisessig im Vakuum ab. Der Rückstand wird zur Entfernung von anhaf tendem Eisessig kalt mit wenig Aceton ver rührt und nach dem Abgiessen des Acetons in Methylalkohol gelöst. Hierauf wird die Lö sung mit verdünnter Natronlauge schwach al kalisch gestellt und der Alkohol im Vakuum abdestilliert. Man erhält ein schwach gelblich gefärbtes Pulver, das in Wasser unter starkem Schäumen klar löslich ist. Die wässrige Lösung besitzt hervorragende Wascheigenschaften.

The sodium salt of the new amide derivative forms a yellowish colored powder that is clearly soluble in water with strong foaming. It can be used as a textile auxiliary, e.g. B. as a detergent, use. Example: 36 parts of oleic acid amide, 21.6 parts of sodium ss-oxyethanesulphonic acid and 18 parts of paraformaldehyde are mixed thoroughly and added to 120 parts by volume of glacial acetic acid while stirring at 70-80 '.
The mixture is stirred for 20 minutes at the specified temperature and the glacial acetic acid is distilled off in vacuo. The residue is stirred cold with a little acetone to remove adhering glacial acetic acid and, after the acetone has been poured off, dissolved in methyl alcohol. The solution is then made weakly alkaline with dilute sodium hydroxide solution and the alcohol is distilled off in vacuo. A pale yellowish colored powder is obtained which is clearly soluble in water with vigorous foaming. The aqueous solution has excellent washing properties.
