Description

Valve The valve object of the present invention comprises a casing having a conduit controlled by a shutter member fixed to one end of a rod provided with a push-button at its other end, said casing having a bore in which is capable of sliding said rod, the aforementioned pusher being subjected to the action of a return spring intended to press the shutter member on its seat, this valve being characterized by the fact that the seat of the shutter member is arranged at the upstream end of said duct, so that said shutter member can be pushed out of the latter.

The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the device which is the subject of the invention.

The single figure is a view in axial section.

The valve shown comprises a casing 1 comprising an elbow duct 2 and, at the upstream end of the latter, a seat 3 for a shutter member 4, this seat 3 having a frustoconical wall. The housing 1 is provided externally with a thread 5 intended to come into engagement with a corresponding thread, with an orifice 10 of a receptacle 6 to be emptied, for example, and with a thread 7 carrying a nut 8 intended for pressing a seal 9 against the corresponding edge of said orifice 10.

The shutter member 4 is integral with one of the ends of a rod .11, movable lengthwise in a bore 12 formed in the casing 1, and the other end of which carries a pusher 13; the latter is subjected to the return action of a coil spring 14 bearing, on the other hand, on said housing 1.

The valve shown being fixed to a receptacle 6 containing a liquid is used as follows when it comes to withdrawing liquid from the receptacle 6, the shutter member 4 is manually moved in the direction of arrow 15 against the valve. action of spring 14 by applying pressure on pusher 13; to close the duct 2, the shutter member 4 moves under the effect of the spring 14 in the opposite direction of the arrow 15 until it bears on its seat 3.

To replace a worn seal of the member 4 with a new one, the casing 1 is separated by unscrewing the wall of the container 6; then said member 4 is, by means of the pusher 13, moved manually in the direction of the arrow 15 until it is outside the housing 1, the aforementioned replacement then being able to be carried out very easily .
