Abstract

The support for a measuring instrument includes a box (1) and base (2) linked together by a deformable neck (3). The box is made of flexible synthetic material and includes an internal cylindrical cavity (10) to receive an instrument beneath a retaining edge (11). The edge may also carry calibrations appropriate to the instrument. The deformable neck includes a metal core (20) - for example a length of lead - with a synthetic flexible covering. This allows the neck to be bent to different shapes on a number of occasions without fracturing. The base has a hole by which it may be bolted to a support. USE/ADVANTAGE - Flexible support for thermometer, barometer, watch, etc. allowing instrument to be set at required angle, regardless of angle of available supporting surface.
