Description
Verfahren zur Darstellung eines echten Küpenfarbstoffes. Es wurde gefunden, dass durch Konden sation von Chinondithiosulfosäure (beschrie ben im deutschen Patent Nr. 175070) mit p-Toluidin in indifferenten Verdünnungsmit teln, zum Beispiel Lösungsmitteln, ein echter Küpenfarbstoff entsteht, welcher Wolle in der Hydrosulfitküpe gelbbraun färbt.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 12,5 kg chinondithiosulfosaures Kalium und 2,2 kg p-Toluidin werden mit 50 kg Spiritus oder Aceton vermischt und das Ge misch mehrere Stunden am Rückflusskühler gekocht; der ausgeschiedene Farbstoff wird abfiltriert und das Filtergut mit verdünntem Salzwasser gut ausgewaschen. Die so erhal tene Paste ist zur unmittelbaren Verwendung geeignet. Der so gebildete Farbstoff bildet getrocknet ein braunes Pulver, das sich in konzentrierter Schwefelsäure mit blauvioletter und in alkalischem Hydrosulfit mit hellgelber Farbe löst und Wolle in dieser Küpe echt gelbbraun färbt.
Process for the preparation of a real vat dye. It has been found that condensation of quinondithiosulfonic acid (described ben in German Patent No. 175070) with p-toluidine in indifferent diluents, for example solvents, produces a real vat dye, which dyes wool in the hydrosulfite vat yellow-brown.
<I> Example: </I> 12.5 kg of quinondithiosulphonic acid potassium and 2.2 kg of p-toluidine are mixed with 50 kg of spirit or acetone and the mixture is boiled for several hours on the reflux condenser; the precipitated dye is filtered off and the filter material is washed out well with dilute salt water. The paste obtained in this way is suitable for immediate use. The dyestuff thus formed forms a brown powder when dried, which dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid with a blue-violet color and in alkaline hydrosulfite with a light yellow color and dyes wool in this vat really yellow-brown.
