Abstract

Se divulga un método para predecir la carga de demanda química de oxígeno (COD) en un proceso de tratamiento de aguas residuales en relación con un proceso de obtención de pulpa. El proceso de obtención de pulpa comprende un proceso de blanqueo de pulpa, en donde se obtiene una corriente de aguas residuales del proceso de blanqueo de pulpa y se conduce al proceso de tratamiento de aguas residuales, en donde el proceso de tratamiento de aguas residuales comprende una etapa de tratamiento primario y una etapa de tratamiento secundario. El método puede comprender obtener un valor de al menos un parámetro del proceso de blanqueo de pulpa, en donde el parámetro es indicativo de la concentración de COD en la corriente de aguas residuales, determinar una concentración y/o carga de COD predicha en la corriente de aguas residuales después de la etapa de tratamiento primario y/o después de la etapa de tratamiento secundario con base en el valor de al menos un parámetro del proceso de blanqueo de pulpa, y proporcionar información de control para controlar el proceso de tratamiento de aguas residuales con base en la concentración y /o carga de COD predicha en la corriente de aguas residuales después de la etapa de tratamiento primario y/o después de la etapa de tratamiento secundario.
