Abstract

The stretching machine for extending a mink pelt is used in the furred animal trade when pelting mink. In principle, the machine consists of a cylinder I to which are affixed grippers 2 for securing the mink pelts. The grippers 2 run on both sides of the stretcher 3 and grasp the leg pelt. Magnetic sensors 4 and 5 are affixed to the cylinder I and guide the extension, by the cylinder I, of the mink pelts to the correct size, using PLC guidance. <IMAGES>
