- the diameter of the pinion 20 is calculated so that when the cylinder 21 is rotated, it causes the bolt 15 to move fully into the keeper 16 and consequently, the actuation of the switch 18. Assuming that this switch is of the normally closed type, the depressing of its push button causes the opening of the circuit in which it is connected and consequently cuts off the supply of the corresponding devices.
