Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for funding a powdery material by means of an injector, in which after the introduction of the goods in a Conveying gas dosing gas is supplied. Furthermore, the invention a device for conveying a powder Good by means of an injector according to the preamble of claim 3
  • the device is known from US-A-5 131 350.
  • FIG. 1 shows such an injector 1 air is injected into the injector chamber 5 via a nozzle 4 blown in, the powder feed 6 for introducing the Powder in the conveyor jet from a not shown Has storage container.
  • the one promoted in the air jet Powder enters the room 10, where the powder flow over a port 8 and a channel 9 dosing air supplied becomes. Via one connected to the hose connection 11 The powder and air mixture becomes a hose and lines Coating point led.
  • the setting of conveying air and dosing air which is a conventional compressed air source have been taken out so far either by separate control valves or by two on a common one Shaft valves arranged so that only one adjustment button to adjust both valves had to.
  • the powder-air mixture has a relatively long conduction path must travel to the coating point (e.g. one Away from 1 meter or more) or where a very homogeneous Powder-air mixture is required, the previous one Setting conveying air and dosing air as very proven difficult.
  • the known situation is particularly delicate Coating the weld seams of can frames at the end of the Frame welding machine before. On the one hand, the supply the powder using the injector over a long line done because the line through the welding machine led along the frame forming and welding path must become.
  • the powder in constant Quantity and homogeneously distributed at the coating nozzle the can frame conveyed past.
  • the promotion the box frames are made e.g. at a rate of 18 Cans per second (or with a standard can size approx. 100 m / min), which is only a short-term fluctuation the homogeneity of the powder-air mixture or the absolute Powder quantity to a large number of insufficiently coated Cans can result.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object to enable coating by means of an injector, where these disadvantages do not occur and in which even in very delicate conditions, in particular in the welding seam coating of can frames, excellent coating quality can be achieved.
  • This task is carried out in a process of type mentioned solved in that the feed gas and the dosing gas from a constant in the injector Gas quantity emitting source are taken.
  • the constant source can be a fixed one Injector feed, so the setting only e.g. by changing the nozzle or changing the Dosing gas channel takes place. However, an external, i.e. Setting outside the injector the funding provided, this only through the Setting one of the gas flows, preferably by the metering gas is adjusted.
  • the constant Source causes when changing the setting (change the throttling) of one gas flow automatically corresponding change (increase or decrease) of the other Gas stream.
  • the process is during coating of can frames used.
  • a device for solving the problem has the features of claim 3.
  • the preferred use this device lies in the powder coating of can frames, but here are other uses possible where a good is conveyed by means of an injector becomes.
  • the example of a fundamentally known one Injector 1 shown in FIG. 1 a housing 12.
  • the injector space 5 is formed in this into which the nozzle 4 of the injector protrudes.
  • the nozzle 4 is filled with gas, as a rule fed with compressed air, this compressed air flow forms the conveying air flow.
  • the injector room 5 opens a connection 6, through which from a reservoir (not shown) the material to be conveyed into the injector room is delivered in which due to the conveying air jet there is a negative pressure.
  • the good to be promoted is carried along by the conveying air flow.
  • the conveying air flow passes through a sleeve 7. Outside the sleeve a connection 8 for the dosing gas is provided in the housing 12, which is usually also compressed air.
  • the dosing air is fed to room 10, into which the conveying air flow also enters.
  • the two Air flows combine and leave Injector 1 through the connector 11 to which a line is connected which is the powder-air mixture to the application site leads.
  • the coating powder When applying the grant of coating powder for coating the weld seams of can bodies is made from the storage container, the e.g. have a capacity of 3-4 kg powder can, the coating powder by using the injector Air pressure (e.g. in the range of 6 to 10 bar) in one line promoted in a known manner in the round apparatus enters the can welding machine, the welding area happens and then flows into a nozzle that the Powder-air mixture on the inside of the can weld sprayed on to coat them. To do this, the coating powder usually electrostatically charged. By heating the one on the weld Powder becomes a coherent after cooling solid seam coating achieved. Corresponding coating powder are known and commercially available and the coating process is known as such. As before mentioned is the setting of conveying air and dosing air very delicate, so enough powder homogeneous distributed at sufficient speed (approx. 12 m / sec) the nozzle is conveyed to an even coating to reach.
  • the injector Air pressure e.g. in the range of 6 to 10 bar
  • FIG. 2 shows schematically a pneumatic diagram with the injector 1 shown therein as a block with the conveying air connection 3 and the dosing air connection 8.
  • the conveying air and the dosing air come from one Compressed air source, not shown, to which via a Line 24 a control valve 15 is connected to the its output line 15 'provides a constant amount of air.
  • the amount of air can be controlled by an electrical control signal via the control line 23 from a controller (not shown) can be specified.
  • the valve 15 holds then the amount of air emitted by him automatically.
  • a valve also known as a mass controller e.g. the mass flow controller type F 201 C from Bronkhorst, the Netherlands.
  • a switchable Valve 16 can be arranged as the main valve through which the air supply to the injector can be switched on and off.
  • the amount of air discharged from the mass regulator 15 arrives then on the one hand via line 17 and check valve 18 to the supply air connection of the injector 1.
  • the air via lines 19 and 21 and the check valve 22 to the dosing air connection 8.
  • an adjustable flow controller in the dosing air line 20 provided with the adjusting member 20 'with which the dosing air to adapt to the respective funding conditions is adjustable. Provided these ratios constant, could also be set to this control to be dispensed with.
  • the mass controller 15 holds the entire air flow constant for powder feed.
  • the constant air flow is made up of the Conveying air and the dosing air together.
  • the dosing air With the flow controller 20 the dosing air is set. You turn the dosing air up, so at the same speed conveyed less powder. If you throttle the dosing air, see above if more powder is conveyed at the same speed, because more conveying air is delivered.
  • the dosing air is for air balance after powder delivery into the Injector directed, is the sum of the conveying air and dosing air constant in Injector 1.
  • a dosing air controller 20 a commercially available flow controller from Vögtlin AG, Switzerland.
  • a purge air line 25 can be provided if it is not in operation be through which a pressure regulator 26 and a main valve 27 via lines 29 and 28 purge air is conductive in the injector.
