Definitions
- the present invention relates to a light channel for surface drainage.
- a metal channel which has a U-profile has, on which there are horizontal support areas on both sides with vertical boundary walls for a channel cover connect.
- a connecting shoe is provided which has a seal and internal threads after the alignment of gutter elements and connecting shoe behind holes on an outside Bending of the channel elements come to rest.
- the seal is used as an elastomer seal Recess of the connecting shoe inserted or injected.
- Such a gutter is particularly from the point of view the tightness of the connection point is not yet fully satisfactory.
- the seal is an elastically deformable one Formed sealing element, which is biased against the channel elements is.
- the fasteners of the connecting shoe are designed as locking elements with complementary locking elements cooperate, which are formed on the outer sides of the channel elements are.
- the lip seal is designed or arranged that the sealing lips when snapping the locking connection slightly deformed and thus elastic against the outside the channel elements are prestressed.
- the snap connection on the one hand makes the installation of the light channel compared to the known gutters with screw connections much easier.
- the very advantageous Arrangement of the seal and by interaction with the Channel element ensured in the locking position of the locking connection, that when the snap connection snaps into place, the sealing lips fit elastically against the outside of the channel profile. You can therefore absolutely the connection area of the channel elements close tightly.
- the channel element consists of a U-profile, which is attached on both sides Support areas for a channel cover, e.g. one Rust, connect. On the outside, these support areas adjoin preferably vertical boundary walls that in a border profile forming the top of the channel element flow out.
- the edging or stiffening profile gives the top of the gutter has an attractive appearance and increases additionally the rigidity of the channel elements. This is particularly true then to when the border profiles on the outside are folded down.
- the connecting shoe preferably contains two parallel to one another running lip seals, between which a Stop for the faces extending perpendicular to the channel axis both channel elements to be connected is provided. In this way, the sealing area is also optimal axial alignment of the channel elements ensured and also made sure that a lip seal on each channel element is present.
- the connecting shoe preferably has receptacles, for example an internal thread, for vertically adjustable supports, designed for example as a screw or threaded bolt could be. In this way it is possible in the area of the connecting shoes any slope of the Set light channel to support against a surface.
- channel elements and the connecting shoes can be made from all common materials.
- the channel elements are preferably made of for the light channel Made of sheet metal or plastic and the connecting shoes made of plastic or cast metal. These materials are enough best the stiffness and lightness specifications the material as well as low manufacturing costs.
- the locking members on the connecting shoes as Lugs formed, which are held on resilient arms are.
- the arm is simply made of the plastic of the connecting shoe consist.
- the locking lug of the connecting shoe engages preferably in a substantially horizontal Locking surface, which is on the outside of the channel element, e.g. the U-profile, the horizontal support areas, the vertical boundary walls, the bezels or outside bends the channel elements is arranged. This way, with created a very effective locking connection with little effort.
- the lip seal can be two parallel to each other have running sealing lips.
- Fig. 1 shows a light channel 10 in the joint area of two U-shaped Channel elements 12, which by a connecting shoe 14 are connected.
- the channel element 12 has a U-profile 13, which is followed by support areas 16 on both sides, on which a cover, e.g. there is a grating on it can. Laterally the support areas 16 extend vertical boundary walls 18, which are horizontal border areas 20 connect, which in turn on the outside down are folded towards 22.
- the bevels have recesses 23 in the shape of an inverted V (Fig. 5), which will be described later serve as described adjustment profile.
- These gutter elements 12 are on the end face via the connecting shoe 14 interconnected (see also Figure 2).
- the connecting shoe 14 includes the underside of the channel elements 12 in the area of their end faces.
- the connecting shoe has in the abutting edge area 14 a stop edge 24 on which the end faces of the Channel elements 12 come to rest in the fastening position. Lip seals 26, 28 are located on both sides of this stop edge 24 provided that in the connecting position of the channel elements 12 the connecting shoe elastic against the bottom or outside the channel elements 12 are biased and thus the connection point close tightly.
- the connecting shoe can be made Metal, plastic or cast metal exist while the gutter element preferably consists of sheet metal or plastic.
- the mechanical connection of the connecting shoe 14 with the channel elements is realized via a snap connection.
- This Locking connection on the connecting shoe side consists of locking lugs 30, which are held on elastic arms 46 (Fig. 4).
- For each Channel element 12 are two on the connecting shoe 14 Lugs 30 provided.
- the connecting shoe 14 thus has four Lugs that when inserting the channel elements 12 in the Snap the connecting shoe into the locking surfaces 32 on the outside of the channel element in the extension of the outside horizontal support area 16 are provided. If the Lugs 30 when pressing the channel elements 12 into the connecting shoe 14 snap into these locking surfaces 32, will at the same time ensures that the lip seals 26, 28 of the connecting shoe elastic against the bottom or outside the channel elements 12 are biased.
- the latches 30 have a ramp 34 for snapping into the locking surface 32, which slides along the locking surface 32, the locking lug 30 horizontally via an elastic deformation of the arm 46 be deflected outside until the one below the ramp 34 arranged latch 36 of the latch 30 vertically over the Locking surface 32 is moved and snaps over this locking surface.
- This locking connection thus allows one of the handling simple and secure as well as fast and tight connection the channel elements 12 on the connecting shoe 14 on the connecting shoe are two horizontally extending ones Extensions 38 are provided by threaded bolts 40 are vertically enforceable. By turning the Threaded bolt 40 in the internal threads 39 of the extensions 38 leaves adjust the distance of the connecting shoe 14 from the ground.
- the connecting shoe and thus the entire gutter construction thus rests on the head 42 of the threaded bolt 40.
- FIG. 3 shows the side view III from FIG. 2.
- the connecting shoe 14 with the Extension 38 for receiving the threaded bolt 40 which is a height adjustable Foot of the connecting shoe 14 represents.
- the Threaded bolt 40 can be turned down for this purpose so that the distance of the connecting shoe 14 from the ground or the installation platform can be adjusted.
- the two Lip seals 26, 28 are on both sides of the stop 24 designed as a double lip seal and form-fitting in the Body of the connecting shoe 14 held.
- On the connecting shoe 14 are also positioning extensions 44 in the manner of a upside down V formed which in corresponding complementary recesses 23 of the bevels 22 of the channel element 12 fits, thus an axial alignment of the channel element and connecting shoe.
- the detents 30 are at least somewhat resiliently designed on vertical Arms 46 held, which allow the latch on the Locking surface 32 of the channel element 12 to the rear, i.e. outward is deflected and finally after gliding past the locking surface or plate 32 snaps back over it vertical, secure, positive connection of the connecting shoe 14 and channel element 12 causes.
- Fig. 4 shows the section IV-IV from Fig. 2.
- the double lip seal 26, 28 to recognize the resilient bears against the underside and outside of the channel element 12.
- the outer fold 22 of the sheet metal trough enables backfilling with concrete and offers the possibility of anchoring of the channel element in a concrete slab.
- the lip seal 26, 28 can be subsequently inserted into the connecting shoe 14, sprayed or vulcanized onto the part or from Shoe overmolded.
- the connecting shoe shown can in the same way as end part, corner part, T-part or crossing to be created. If the connecting shoe is designed as an end part the stop edge 24 is through a vertical wall formed up to the top 20 of the channel member 12 extends.
- FIG. 5 shows a side view of a channel element 12 in the area an end face 13 in the manner described above can be fixed on the connecting shoe.
