Claims (6)
- Abgaskatalysator für Abgase eines Verbrennungsmotors, insbesondere bei einem Kraftfahrzeug, mit einem Katalysatorgehäuse (2), das einen Katalysatoreinsatz (3) enthält und das an einem Einlauf (6) mittels eines Einlauftrichters (8) und an einem Auslauf (7) mittels eines Auslauftrichters (9) in einen Abgasstrang des Verbrennungsmotors einbindbar ist, wobei der Querschnitt des Abgasstranges stromauf und stromab des Abgaskatalysators (1) kleiner ist als der Querschnitt des Katalysatorgehäuses (2) und wobei das Katalysatorgehäuse (2) einstückig mit einem der Trichter (8, 9) ausgebildet ist.
- Abgaskatalysator nach Anspruch 1,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß das Katalysatorgehäuse (2) mit dem daran angeformten Trichter (8) als einstückiges Tiefziehteil ausgebildet ist. - Abgaskatalysator nach Anspruch 1 oder 2,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß in einem Übergangsbereich (17) zwischen Trichter (8) und Katalysatorgehäuse (2) ein bezüglich der Längsachse (19) des Katalysatorgehäuses (2) radial nach innen vorstehender Vorsprung (18) ausgebildet ist. - Abgaskatalysator nach Anspruch 3,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß der Vorsprung (18) einstückig an Katalysatorgehäuse (2) und Trichter (8) ausgeformt ist. - Abgaskatalysator nach Anspruch 3' oder 4,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß der Vorsprung (18) im Katalysatorgehäuse (2) eine axiale Einstecktiefe für den Katalysatoreinsatz (3) begrenzt. - Abgaskatalysator nach einem der Ansprüche 3 bis 5,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß der Katalysatoreinsatz (3) ein Katalysatorelement (4) und eine dieses radial einfassende Quellmatte (5) aufweist und daß der Vorsprung (18) so ausgebildet ist, daß eine Abgasanströmung der Quellmatte (5) vermindert oder vermieden ist.
