Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Brennkraftmaschine mit einem unterhalb eines Kurbelgehäuses (8) angeordneten Ölauffanggehäuse (2), in dem eine Schmierölpumpe (10) angeordnet ist, wobei im Ölauffanggehäuse mindestens ein Ölsammelraum (12) ausgebildet ist, in dem eine Ölabsaugleitung (16) der Schmierölpumpe eingreift und das Schmieröl über die Druckseite zu den Verbrauchern fördert, sowie mit einer Schmierölversorgung für die Antriebswelle mindestens eines an der Brennkraftmaschine befestigten Abgasturboladers (34, 36), wobei das dem Abgasturbolader zugeführte Schmieröl über Ölleitungen (34, 36) in den Ölsammelraum der Brennkraftmaschine zurückgeführt wird. Es wird vorgeschlagen, dass mindestens ein im Ölauffanggehäuse (2) integrierter Steigkanal (38) vorgesehen ist, durch den das vom Abgasturbolader (34, 36) abgesaugte Schmieröl oberhalb des im Ölsammelraum (12) ausgebildeten Ölspiegels zurückgeführt wird.
Damit ist u. a. sicher gestellt, dass auch bei Talfahrten des Kraftfahrzeugs das vom Abgasturbolader (34, 36) zurückgeführte Schmieröl oberhalb des Ölspiegels in den Ölsumpf der Brennkraftmaschine zurückgeführt wird.
