Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for opening a gripper clamp of a gripper of a weaving machine, in which a stop member of the gripper clamp against a stop element starts, which is adjustable by means of a motor drive, and an apparatus for performing the method.
  • EP 1054088 A1 It is also known ( EP 1054088 A1 ), to provide an electromotive pivotable about an axis transverse to the movement path of the gripper axis stop element for the abutment part of the gripper clamp.
  • the electromotive adjustment is carried out by means of a control device which determines the opening time and thus the position of the opening of the gripper individually for each weft. This is done for normal operation at high speeds, depending on the elasticity and / or the thickness of each weft to be inserted defining a suitable opening time and a suitable opening position.
  • the weaving machine operates at high speed in normal operation and is additionally provided that a slow crawl (crawl) is possible to make adjustments, it may happen that the displacement of the stop element in the direction of the trajectory of the gripper is not sufficient.
  • the aim is to make opening the gripper clamp as late as possible, as this reduces the problems. Even late opening does not cause a serious problem, as it only results in excess length of weft yarn. Since low-speed weaving is only done for relatively few weft picks, a larger drop in weft yarn is not a serious problem. In fast-running weaving machines, however, there is a risk that the displacement of the stop element is not sufficient to realize the slow-speed as late as possible opening of the gripper clamp.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a method of the type mentioned above, which allows a very early opening of the gripper clamp at operating at high speeds in normal operation looms early opening and operation with slow speed.
  • This object is achieved in that brought during a slow-running of the weaving machine, the stop element in the movement path of the stop member of the gripper clamp and this stop member is delivered, while the stop member is already in the region of the stop element.
  • the position of the stop element with respect to the direction of movement of the gripper is no longer decisive during the slow running of the loom, but rather the time at which the stop element is delivered to the stop member of the gripper clamp.
  • the abutment member may have moved over a relatively long distance in the longitudinal direction of the abutment member.
  • Such a positive opening of the gripper clamp in the manner of actuation of a switch is known in principle.
  • a fixed at a predetermined point, pivotable stop element is actuated by a drive at a predetermined opening time to individually determine the opening time for each introduced weft.
  • a drive with an electric motor is provided.
  • this method causes difficulties in normal operation very fast weaving machines.
  • the position of the gripper is detected during the slow speed and the stop member delivered to the stop member of the gripper clamp at a predetermined position of the gripper.
  • the position of the gripper can be detected in particular via the angular position of the main drive shaft of the weaving machine or via the angular position of a drive wheel for a gripper-carrying gripper band.
  • a device for opening a gripper terminal of a gripper of a weaving machine for solving the problem, in which the stop element is electromotively positionable in the longitudinal direction of the trajectory of the gripper and transverse to the stop member of the gripper terminal electromotive undeliverable and at which means for detecting the position of the gripper are provided, which are connected to a controller, which brings the stop element at a predetermined position of the gripper in the movement path of the abutment portion of the gripper clamp during slow-running of the weaving machine and delivers the stop member.
  • a controller which brings the stop element at a predetermined position of the gripper in the movement path of the abutment portion of the gripper clamp during slow-running of the weaving machine and delivers the stop member.
  • the weaving machine can be operated so that during the slow-speed opening is controlled solely by the electromotive drive moving the stop element transverse to the trajectory of the gripper, while in normal operation, the stop element is positioned in the longitudinal direction of the trajectory of the gripper that due the position is opened at an appropriate time, which depends on the speed and other web parameters.
  • gripper loom shown contains two gripper bands 1, each carrying a gripper 2 and 3 at their free ends.
  • the gripper 2 is the so-called Gebergreifer or Bringergreifer, while the gripper 3 is a gripper rapier.
  • the Gebergreifer 2 takes on the entry side of the shed 12 formed from shed a weft thread 4, which is presented to him by means of a presentation device 19.
  • the weft thread 4 is located on a supply reel 17, from which a weft thread to be inserted is taken off and wound onto a feeder 18, before it is inserted into the shed.
  • the gripper bands 1 are driven by means of drive wheels 6, around which they are guided around by means of guides 7.
  • the gripper bands 1 move into the shed into and out again, so that the Gebergreifer 2 and the gripper rapier 3 meet in the middle of the shed.
  • the gripper rapier 3 then takes over the weft thread and pulls it to the opposite side.
  • the registered weft thread is then struck by means of a reed 11 to the fabric 13.
  • the reed 11 is arranged on a sley 10 and moves back and forth.
  • the warp threads 12 are alternately raised and lowered by means of so-called heddle shafts 9. After entering a weft thread 4, the shed is changed.
  • the gripper rapier 3 has a thread clamp, with which the weft thread is held during transport and which is opened when the gripper rapier 3 has reached the opposite side.
  • the closing of the Geberreifers 2 when picking up a weft thread and entering the shed can be controlled by a device 5.
  • the opening of the gripper rapier 3 is controlled in the area outside the shed on the side opposite the entry side by means of a device 5.
  • the device 5 is for a gripper rapier 3 on hand of Fig. 3 and 4 explained in more detail.
  • the in Fig. 3 and 4 Slave gripper 3 shown schematically is attached to the end of a rapier band 1. It has a hook-shaped end, in the region of which a gripper clamp 20 is provided for a weft thread 4.
  • the gripper clamp 20 is formed by a leg of the hook and an arm of a two-armed stop member 21, which is pivotable about an axis 22.
  • the stop member 21 protrudes with an angled approach out of the gripper rapier 3. When this approach is pushed into the gripper rapier 3, the gripper clamp 20 is opened. This opening takes place by means of the device 5.
  • the device 5 contains a strip-shaped stop element 24 which forms a stop for the stop part 21 of the gripper rapier 3.
  • the stop element 24 is guided in a stationary mounted on the loom, cross slide-like guide 25 in two mutually perpendicular directions.
  • the one direction extends in the direction of the double arrow B, ie parallel to the path of movement of the gripper rapier 3 and its rapier band 1.
  • the other direction extends in the direction of the double arrow C, ie transversely to the movement path of the gripper rapier 3 and the rapier band. 1
  • the stop element 24 is adjustable in the direction of the double arrow B by means of a drive 26 which contains an electric motor, for example a servomotor or stepper motor, of which only the motor shaft 27 is shown.
  • This motor shaft 27 is connected via a crank mechanism 28, 29 with the stop element 24, which by means of the drive 26 in the direction of the double arrow B back and forth, i. in the longitudinal direction of the movement path of the gripper rapier 3 is adjustable.
  • the stop element 24 is also adjustable in the direction of the double arrow C by means of an electromotive drive 30.
  • the drive 30 includes an electric motor, such as a servomotor or stepper motor, of which only the motor shaft 31 is shown.
  • the motor shaft 30 is articulated by means of a crank mechanism 32, 33 to a holder 34, in which the stop element 24 is slidably mounted in the direction of the double arrow B.
  • the stop element 24 is thus adjustable in the direction of the double arrow B by means of the electromotive drive 26 and in the direction of the double arrow C by means of the electric motor drive 30.
  • the stop element When the weaving machine is operating at normal speed, the stop element is in the in Fig. 4 shown position, ie it is in the movement path of the stop member 21, so that the gripper clamp 20 of the gripper rapier is opened when the approach of the stop member 21 against the stop member 24 starts.
  • the position of the stop element 24 in the longitudinal direction of the movement path of the gripper rapier 3 and the rapier band 1 and thus the distance to the end of the shed is set via the drive 26 by a controller 14 ( Fig. 1 ).
  • the position depends on web parameters, such as weaving speed, material and strength of the weft threads or the like. This can be the position of weft threads be adapted to different characteristics and also to different speeds for the different weft threads.
  • the values for this are input to the control unit 14 by means of an input unit, not shown, which selects, for example, the appropriate positions corresponding to a program stored in a memory.
  • the drive 30 is only operated in normal operation when the gripper rapier 3 after reaching its extreme end position reverses its movement and is inserted into the shed. So that in this direction the stop member 21 does not run against the stop element 24, the stop element 24 by means of the drive 30 for a short time in the position after Fig. 3 to be brought.
  • the position of the stop element 24 in the direction of the double arrow B is not changed.
  • the opening of the gripper clamp 20, which should be as late as possible in this case, ie when the gripper rapier 3 has already moved far out of the shed, is "switched" by means of the drive 30 which causes a positive opening.
  • the stop element 24 is in the in Fig. 3 shown position and only then by means of the drive 30 in the position Fig. 4 shifted if positive opening of the gripper clamp 20 is desired.
  • This opening is then position-dependent on the slave gripper 3.
  • means are provided to detect the position of the gripper rapier 3 and input to the control unit 14, which then opens the gripper clamp 20 at a suitable time.
  • the opening is designed to a predetermined angular position of the main shaft.
  • an angle encoder can be attached to the main shaft in a manner not shown, which is connected to the control unit. Since the rapier bands 1 and thus also their drive wheels 6 run synchronously with the main shaft, it is also possible to adjust the position of the grippers 2, 3 in relation to the angular position of the main shaft by means of angle encoders 35, which are arranged on the drive wheels 6 and connected to the control unit 14. As a rule, an angle transmitter 35 on one of the drive wheels 6 is sufficient.
  • stop element 24 which is pivotable about its pivot point to the crank drive 26 to perform a "switching" to open the gripper clamp 20.
