Abstract

L'invention concerne un cylindre et/ou un rouleau et un procédé de production et/ou de maintenance d'un cylindre et/ou d'un rouleau, une couche de métal (8, 9, 10) étant appliquée au moins par endroits sur une surface latérale (2) du cylindre (1, 1'') et/ou du rouleau (1'). Ladite couche de métal (8, 9, 10) présente une matrice métallique ductile (4) dans laquelle sont incorporées des particules de substance dure (5). Le procédé de production d'un cylindre et/ou d'un rouleau et le cylindre et/ou le rouleau selon l'invention permettent de réduire les coûts d'entretien du cylindre et/ou du rouleau.
