Description
ROVING THAT PROVIDES AIR AND WATER IMPERMEABILITY IN FOLDING AWNINGS
Description
Technical Area
This invention is about a roving to be used particularly in outdoor foldable awnings to provide sealing to prevent penetration of water and air into the building through the space between the rail and the awning fabric.
Known Status of the Technique
In this technique, conveyors are used within the side carrier profiles to move the awning fabric to ensure that the awning opens and closes whenever wanted. In order to ensure that these conveyors move properly, there is a certain space left between the rail and the awning fabric inside the carrier profile. This space is necessary to move the conveyor and the awning fabric towards the desired direction.
The purpose of foldable awnings is to cover and protect the buildings in case of conditions such as rain and extreme sunlight and bad weather conditions, and to make it possible to uncover them in suitable conditions and whenever desired.
Due to leakage of air and water through the space between the rail and the awning fabric, the desired protection cannot be provided.
In old systems, various canals and blockers were used, or silicon was applied to the space for insulation, or insulation was provided by adding canals. In these methods, the awning fabric was the holding base, and this situation has prevented long-term results because of the movement of the fabric. In the methods where it was mounted on the profile, different negative situations have occurred due to friction and abrasion.
The fabric can bend and fold due to the movement of the awning, and can physically change due to weather conditions, can expand or contract, and the methods can negatively affect the production costs, and additional assembly works can be required and these can be insufficient, and all these require that the water impermeability and air impermeability be done using more flexible and ergonomic methods suitable for the moving system.
Purpose and Brief Explanation of the Invention
The purpose of the invention is to provide sealing against water and air by closing the space between the rail and the awning fabric with a roving suitable for the moving system, which will be ergonomic and make assembling easier.

DETAILED EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION
This invention is about providing seal against water and air penetration through the space (15) between the rail (14) that allows for the movement of the conveyor (13) and the awning fabric (11) that provides protection and covering of the buildings located within the carrier profile (10) in foldable awnings (16).
Water moves on the awning fabric (11 ) in the direction of movement (17) shown on Figure 1 , and accumulated in the canals due to the inclination and discharged. During this discharge, water may leak into the building from the side of the carrier profile (10) of the awning fabric (1 1 ).
When the building is covered in case of negative weather conditions such as rain and snow, air and water may leak through the space (16) between the rail (14) and the awning fabric (1 1). This space (15) is needed for the movement of the conveyor (13).
Furthermore, because of the structure of the awning fabric (11) and because it moves, stabile pressure is needed at every point.
Thanks to the ergonomic structure of the roving and ease of assembly, it has the desired features of the previous technique, and resolves all their undesired features.
The roving (12), the perspective view of which is shown on Figure 4, consists of 2 divisions to provide the desired sealing and for ease of assembly. As seen on Figures 2 and 3, the part of the roving (12) which is inserted into the roving profile canal (12.3) has a hard form in order to provide bedding for the roving (12), to remain stable, for ease of assembling and for grabbing.
As seen on Figure 2, the part of the roving that presses the awning fabric (11 ) has a flexible form to accommodate the flexing and strain that occurs due to the movement of the fabric and weather conditions. As the fabric moves and as its movement varies depending on the environmental conditions, that part (12.2) of the roving which is in contact with the awning fabric has the hardness to provide the necessary pressure on the awning fabric (1 1 ) and the flexibility and form to accommodate the changes in shape.
The hard tissue (12.1) shown on Figure 4 has a hard form so that the roving (12) it can assembled on the carrier profile and can remain stable. Thus, the roving (12) can be mounted without any additional apparatuses. Furthermore, thanks to its ease of assembling, the roving can be replaced very quickly and simply.
When the space (15) between the rail and the fabric changes, the flexible form ( 2.2) flexes and provides the pressure again. In case of changes due to flexing, strain or movement, the roving- fully presses the awning fabric (11). This provides for complete insulation against water and air. Additionally, the flexible form (12.2) eliminates the possible damage due to friction, thanks to its structure.
In case of changes that occur because of the environmental conditions and the use of the product, thanks to the structure of the flexible form (12.2), the force applied is balanced, and sealing against air and water is provided smoothly.
Particularly, when the awning is closed during use in outdoors, buildings are protected from the cold, and thus, warm air is kept inside in winter, and cool air is kept inside in summer.
Claims
1. This invention is about a roving to be used particularly in outdoor foldable awnings (16) to provide sealing to prevent penetration of water and air into the building through the space (15) between the rail (14) inside the earner profile and the awning fabric (11); and the characteristic of the roving is that it consists of at least two separate parts, and that the part of it that is inserted into the roving profile canal (12.3) on the carrier profile ( 0) is has a hard form to provide bedding for the roving (12) and to ensure it holds on to the canal, and its part (12.2) which presses onto the awning fabric (11) has a flexible form to accommodate the changes in the form of the awning fabric (1 ) and to provide suitable pressure at every point.
2. It is a roving (12) according to Claim 1, and its characteristic is that its flexible part (12.2) is soft and ergonomic to minimize the loss due to friction, and to apply the suitable pressure to accommodate form changes at every point.
3. It is a roving (12) according to Claim 1 , and the characteristic of its hard part (12.1) is that it suits well to the roving canal (12.3), and is hard enough to provide bedding and grip-
