Definitions
- the invention relates to a horizontally elongated lamp according to the preamble of claim 1 as well as a set with lamp elements for realizing a lamp according to the invention and a method for producing a horizontally elongated lamp.
- Generic lights are designed for use in offices.
- generic lights are on the one hand designed to be elongated in a horizontal direction and on the other hand are designed to provide both indirect room lighting and direct room lighting.
- generic lights are mounted on the ceiling of a room.
- the direct room lighting is intended to provide direct illumination of a workstation, for example a desk
- the indirect room lighting is intended to provide background lighting for a room.
- the provision of direct and indirect room lighting is ensured via sections arranged horizontally next to one another, namely via at least one indirect section and via at least one direct section.
- top and bottom relate to opposite sides of the lamp in a vertical direction that is perpendicular to the horizontal direction.
- the provision of indirect room lighting is preferably ensured by the indirect section in that the indirect section is designed to emit light into a first half-space that lies on the top of the luminaire and through a dividing plane that is perpendicular to the vertical runs, is separated by a second half-space, wherein the direct section is designed to emit light into the second half-space.
- Luminaires of the generic type also have a carrier and a horizontally elongated housing which encloses the carrier at least in sections perpendicular to the horizontal direction, with light sources being arranged on the carrier and / or on the housing.

- the carrier can be used to stabilize the housing and / or to carry at least some, in particular all, light sources and / or to carry an operating device and / or to carry the housing if the lamp can be mounted on a ceiling as intended and the ceiling is connected to the carrier via holding devices such as ropes.
- luminaires of the generic type must fulfill various tasks.
- the lights should be visually appealing.
- the luminaires should provide direct lighting that is as glare-free as possible.
- the lights should provide pleasant backlighting.
- the luminaires should be suitable for being adapted to given rooms in such a way that pleasant lighting of the room can be achieved for a large number of different sizes of a room to be illuminated and different orientations of the windows in the room.
- generic lights should also be inexpensive to manufacture so that a room can be equipped with a sufficient number of lights without this being associated with considerable costs. Luminaires of the generic type only inadequately fulfill these tasks.
- luminaires of the generic type are only available in specified lengths, which makes it difficult to adapt the luminaires to specified spaces.
- a generic lamp is mostly not suitable for providing a more pleasant direct lighting of a workplace in itself, but two such lights are usually required, each of which must be mounted on one side next to a workplace so that the workplace is evenly illuminated from both sides and there is no glare on a work surface at the workplace.
- generic lights are often perceived as unpleasant by people who are in a room illuminated by the lights because of the abrupt change between direct and indirect sections.
- a lamp is known from the prior art which has a plurality of lamp elements, each of which comprises a carrier element and is designed to provide direct lighting and indirect lighting of a room.
- Luminaire elements that are adjacent to one another are connected to one another via their carrier elements, a ring-wise translucent end cap being provided at the end of each carrier element with which it rests against the neighboring carrier element.
- a lamp with a plurality of lamp elements is known, each of the lamp elements having a carrier element and two adjacent lamp elements being connected to one another via a coupling element which is attached to their carrier elements.
- the invention is based on the object of providing a horizontally elongated lamp which at least partially eliminates at least some of the above-mentioned disadvantages of generic lamps.
- the invention is also based on the object of providing a set of lighting elements for realizing such a lamp.
- the present invention is based on the object of providing a method that enables the production of a horizontally elongated luminaire that at least at least partially remedies some of the disadvantages of generic lights described above.
- a luminaire according to the invention is designed to be horizontally elongated and has at least one horizontally running indirect section for radiating light from an upper side of the lamp to provide indirect room lighting and at least one horizontally running direct section arranged horizontally next to the indirect section for radiating Light from an underside of the luminaire which is opposite the upper side in a vertical direction for providing direct room lighting.
- the luminaire according to the invention also has a carrier and a horizontally elongated housing which at least partially encloses the carrier perpendicular to the horizontal direction, with light sources being arranged on the carrier and / or on the housing.
- the suitability of the indirect section and the suitability of the direct section for the respective provision of indirect or direct room lighting can be provided as explained with regard to luminaires of the generic type. It is essential that the indirect section, as explained for generic lamps, is designed to emit light into a first half-space located on the top of the lamp and the direct section is designed to emit light into a second half-space located on the underside of the lamp , the two half-spaces being separated from one another by an imaginary cutting plane running perpendicular to the vertical. In particularly preferred embodiments, the indirect section can do this be designed, in addition to providing indirect room lighting, also contribute to direct room lighting by being designed to radiate light not only into the first half-space but also into the second half-space.
- the direct section can be designed to contribute not only to providing direct room lighting but also to indirect room lighting by sending light not only into the second half-space but also into the first Emits half-space.
- the indirect section is designed in such a way that it emits light exclusively into the first half-space over at least 30%, in particular at least 50%, in particular over at least 70%, in particular over at least 90% of its horizontal extension, whereas the direct section -Section is designed to emit light exclusively into the second half-space over at least 30%, in particular at least 50%, in particular at least 70%, in particular at least 90% of its horizontal extent.
- the respective areas in which the indirect section exclusively emits light into the first half-space or the direct section exclusively emits light into the second space are particularly preferably arranged distributed around the center in relation to the horizontal direction, so that the respective sections only can also radiate light into the other half-space at their horizontal edge areas.
- the indirect section is designed to radiate light exclusively into the first half-space and the direct section is designed to radiate light exclusively into the second half-space.
- the light sources are arranged on the carrier and / or on the housing, whereby they are arranged such that they are enclosed in sections by the housing perpendicular to the horizontal direction this enclosing is interrupted by light exit openings which are provided in the housing.
- Both the carrier and the housing are preferably designed to be horizontally elongated, the carrier extending uninterrupted over at least 70%, in particular over at least 80% of the horizontal extent of the housing in the horizontal direction. This ensures a particularly high level of stability for the lamp.
- the carrier can be composed of several carrier elements, which are arranged horizontally next to one another but are firmly connected to one another so that the carrier runs horizontally without interruption.
- the light sources and in particular an operating device are particularly preferably arranged on the carrier. This can particularly simplify the fitting of the lamp, and in addition, light sources and / or operating device can be kept particularly secure.
- the operating device via which the light sources of the lamp are controlled, is particularly preferably arranged within the housing.
- Such an operating device can comprise various components, for example an electronic ballast and / or a current and / or voltage limiter and / or a controller that is connected to or provides a light management system.
- the luminaire does not have such an operating device, but is supplied with power via an external operating device and controlled accordingly.
- the lamp has components of an operating device or components of an operating device are arranged within the housing of the lamp, with other components of the operating device being arranged outside the lamp, for example in a ceiling to which the lamp is suspended.
- the lamp is particularly preferably suspended from a ceiling via its top.
- the luminaire can preferably have mounting units on the top of its Housing are arranged and are connected to the housing and / or the carrier, wherein these assembly units can be suspended from a ceiling via holding devices, such as ropes or wires.
- the housing is formed from several, ie at least two, housing elements and the carrier from several, ie at least two, carrier elements.
- Housing and carrier are thus structurally defined by the elements mentioned and in particular consist of these elements.
- the indirect section has a first housing element and a first carrier element, which are firmly connected to one another to form a first lamp element.
- the direct section has a second housing element and a second carrier element, which are firmly connected to one another to form a second lighting element.
- the first housing element and the first carrier element and / or the second housing element and the second carrier element can each be formed in one piece.
- first housing element and the first carrier element and / or the second housing element and the second carrier element are each separate components, which are initially manufactured independently of one another and are then firmly connected to one another to form the first or second lamp element.
- This connection can be, for example, a permanent connection, for example via welding, or alternatively a releasable connection, for example via screwing.
- Various possibilities for realizing a fixed connection between the housing element and the carrier element are known to the person skilled in the art, for example screw, latching or riveting connections.
- the indirect section consists of the first lighting element and the direct section consists of the second lighting element, ie the first lighting element forms the indirect section and the second lighting element forms the direct section.
- the two light elements are releasably fixed to each other.
- the person skilled in the art is also familiar with conventional means for such a releasable fixation, such as, for example, the provision of a latching connection or screw connection or a combination of both.
- the lamp elements can be removed from one another, each of the lamp elements comprising its associated carrier element and housing element which are preferably firmly connected to one another independently of the releasable connection of the two lamp elements.
- the housing between the two housing elements of the two lamp elements also has a recess running vertically from the top to the bottom of the lamp to ensure transverse light emission in a transverse direction that is perpendicular to the horizontal direction and to the vertical direction.
- the cutout thus enables light to pass through between the housing elements of the two adjacent lighting elements. Due to the vertical course of the cutout, the cutout enables an optical connection from the top to the bottom, so that light is not only emitted on the top of the indirect section and on the underside of the direct section, but a light path is provided between the two sections .
- the recess thus runs in any case with a vertical component, but can also run at an angle to the vertical direction, but from the top to the bottom.
- the recess particularly preferably runs continuously from the top to the bottom. Particularly preferably, the recess runs on both transverse sides of the housing from the top to the bottom. According to the invention, the recess opens into one of the light exit openings provided in the direct section on the underside and into one of the light exit openings provided in the indirect section on the top side. This connects the Recess for the light exit openings provided in the direct section and the indirect section.
- the recess runs on both transversal sides and opens into a light exit opening provided in the direct section on the underside and into a light exit opening provided in the indirect section on the top side, so that one over the recess in combination with the light exit openings the housing is provided with a circumferential opening for the emission of light in relation to the horizontal.
- the recess is provided on both transversal sides and runs vertically on both sides from the top to the bottom, whereby a first light exit opening provided on the top of the housing and a second light exit opening provided on the bottom of the housing through the recess around the horizontal direction closed circumferential opening is provided in the housing, through which light can pass out of the housing to the outside.
- This opening does not necessarily have to run perpendicular to the horizontal but in some embodiments it can also run curved and at different angles to the horizontal direction over its course, but always runs closed around the horizontal direction.
- the inside of the housing elements and / or the carrier elements, in particular on their sides facing the light sources are designed to be reflective at least in sections. This enables light to be guided within the housing with as little loss as possible and, in particular, to ensure that light is guided to the recess.
- the lamp according to the invention enables a much more pleasant feeling of space than lamps from the prior art.
- the provision of the recess between two adjacent housing elements is made possible in that two adjacent lighting elements are connected to one another via their carrier elements, which are arranged within the housing elements, so that a lateral light exit opening can be provided via the recess without affecting the stability of the Lamp suffers.
- a lamp according to the invention can be provided with a very long horizontal extension, in particular with a large number of lamp elements, two adjacent lamp elements preferably being provided alternately as a direct section and an indirect section. While the recess supports a pleasant illumination of a room, the fixation of neighboring lighting elements via their carrier elements ensures the stability of the lamp and also enables a modular construction of the lamp, since any number of lighting elements can be provided depending on the given space, which then via their Support elements can be connected to one another.
- connection between adjacent luminaire elements in such a modular luminaire according to the invention can always be provided as explained in the present description, whereby a direct section is preferably always arranged next to an indirect section, so that always a direct-emitting luminaire element next to an indirect-a -Emitting luminaire element is arranged and these luminaire elements are connected to one another as mentioned above and explained below.
- the recess is particularly preferably covered by a translucent optic.
- a Translucent optics can be prevented because of their diffuse scattering properties a direct view from the outside through the optics into the housing, which can be particularly preferred to cover the carrier element or the carrier elements that run inside the housing along the recess.
- the recess has a horizontal extension of at least 0.5 cm, in particular at least 1 cm, over its entire vertical extension and / or a horizontal extension which is at least one tenth, especially at least one fifth of the vertical extension of the housing.
- the desired effect of the recess can be achieved particularly advantageously via a corresponding minimum dimension of the recess over its entire vertical extent.
- the luminaire preferably has a vertical extension of less than 5 cm, in particular less than 4 cm, over at least 90% of its horizontal extension and / or a ratio between its transverse and vertical extension of more than 2, in particular more than 2.5. It has been found that a particularly good optical effect can be achieved in a room via such a flat and in particular at the same time wide lamp, since the top and bottom of the lamp are not far apart and at the same time a large one over the wide extent of the lamp radiating surface of the luminaire can be provided.
- the invention thus relates in particular to such a flat and wide luminaire, with the simultaneous provision of housing elements and support elements arranged therein as well as the provision of recesses between the housing elements a sufficiently robust luminaire can be provided despite these geometrical dimensions, its light emission and appearance from People in a room are perceived as very pleasant.
- the lamp is generally particularly preferably designed such that, when its maximum emission intensity is set, it has such a distribution of the emitted light intensity that at least 70%, in particular at least 80%, in particular at least 90% of the light intensity emitted by the lamp is exclusively in a first, at the top of the luminaire located half-space.
- the setting of the maximum light intensity that can be emitted by the lamp can be provided in the case of dimmable lamps in that the maximum light intensity is selected for the dimming parameter.
- the maximum light intensity that can be emitted corresponds to the light intensity that the light emits after switching on.
- the corresponding distribution between the intensity with which light is emitted on the upper side and the intensity with which light is emitted on the underside has been found to be particularly advantageous, since this makes it possible to provide sufficiently bright background lighting in a room. This is based on the knowledge that a significantly higher light intensity should preferably be used for the background lighting of a room than for the direct lighting of a workplace, since this provides sufficient lighting and glare can be avoided with direct lighting if possible.
- the carrier runs continuously over at least 90% of the horizontal extent of the lamp in the horizontal direction.
- the carrier elements of the lamp elements each run continuously over at least 70%, in particular at least 90% of the horizontal extent of the respective housing elements of the lamp elements. Due to the corresponding continuous course of the carrier elements or the carrier the lamp can be designed to be particularly robust.
- the housing has, at least in sections perpendicular to the horizontal direction, a cross section which forms a U-shape with a base section and an open end opposite the base section in a vertical direction.
- the carrier is particularly preferably arranged within the U-shape of the housing.
- the U-shape can be realized, for example, by providing a base section with two housing legs extending vertically to the base section.
- the U-shape can be implemented by providing a substantially rectangular or oval cross-section of the housing while providing a recess at a vertical end of the housing.
- the U-shape of the housing is realized in particular in that all housing elements have such a U-shape as explained above.
- the corresponding design of the housing, which has a U-shape with its cross section, has several advantages. On the one hand, a light exit opening on the top or bottom can be ensured in a simple manner via the U-shape.
- the U-shape ensures high rigidity of the housing, so that the housing can be implemented with extremely thin metal sheets, in particular with metal sheets with a thickness of less than 1 mm, in particular less than 0.8 mm.
- a corresponding configuration of the housing can enable a carrier arranged within the housing to be effectively covered.
- both the first housing element of the indirect section and the second housing element of the direct section each have such a U-shape with its cross-section, the open end of the U-shape of the first housing element being arranged on the top of the lamp and wherein the open end of the second housing element is arranged on the underside of the lamp.
- the luminaire has a first group of light sources which are arranged exclusively on an upper side of the first carrier element of the indirect section, as well as a second group of light sources which are exclusively arranged on an underside of the second carrier element of the direct section, wherein in particular the different groups of light sources can be switched and / or dimmed independently of one another.
- the luminaire preferably has a control device for ensuring such a switching and / or dimming.
- the lamp particularly preferably has further groups of light sources, for example further groups of light sources, which are arranged on further carrier elements and further lamp elements.
- the luminaire has at least a first additional group of light sources which are arranged on the underside of the first carrier element and / or a second additional group of light sources which are arranged on the upper side of the second carrier element, so that the indirect -Section in addition to indirect lighting of a room can simultaneously ensure direct lighting of a room and / or the direct portion in addition to direct lighting of a room can simultaneously provide indirect lighting of a room.
- the first and the second carrier element overlap in a horizontal section and are releasably fixed to one another in this horizontal overlap section.
- the overlap section runs horizontally along the recess.
- the overlap section runs horizontally within one of the two adjacent housing elements, so that only one of the two adjacent carrier elements extends horizontally along the recess.
- the carrier elements of the lamp elements each form a U-shape with their cross-section running perpendicular to the horizontal direction with a base area and two wall areas extending vertically therefrom.
- the U-shape enables a particularly robust, torsion-resistant design of the support elements
- the support elements can be easily connected, and a robust, smooth mounting surface for mounting light sources and / or operating device components can be provided in a simple manner.
- the base areas of the two carrier elements abut one another in the horizontal overlap section and the wall areas of the two carrier elements run along one another in the horizontal overlap section. This enables a particularly robust, detachable fixation of the two carrier elements to one another.
- the wall areas of the two carrier elements also particularly preferably rest against one another in the overlapping section.
- the light sources are particularly preferably arranged on the base regions of the carrier elements.
- the base areas each have an inside facing the wall areas and an outside facing from the Points away from wall areas.
- the light sources of the above-explained first light source group of the first luminaire element, which the indirect section comprises, are particularly preferably arranged on the outside of the base region of the first carrier element and the light sources of the above-mentioned second group of light sources are arranged on the inside of the base region of the second carrier element of the second Luminaire element, which comprises the direct section, arranged.
- the distance between the light sources of the second light source group and a light exit opening provided on the underside of the second housing element can be kept as large as possible, so that the light sources of the direct section are for a person in a room on the ceiling the lamp is attached, are as little visible as possible.
- at least the second carrier element is designed to be reflective on the inside of the base area and on the inside of the wall areas facing the base area. This makes a particularly advantageous contribution to directing light to the recess.
- light sources of the respective lamp module are arranged on the carrying section of the respective carrier element.
- the embodiment described has the particular advantage that the base section of the second carrier element, which is from the direct section to provide the direct -Lighting is included, is spaced as far as possible from the optical element that is visible to a person from the room when the lamp is used as intended, in order to prevent the person from looking at the base section and elements arranged thereon.
- the inventors have recognized that such a distance between the carrying section or base section of the first carrier element and the optical element forming the top of the lamp is less relevant since this optical element is not intended to be viewed directly by a person from above. Accordingly, this embodiment is particularly advantageous for realizing a visually appealing, flat lamp.
- At least one of the carrier elements runs in the horizontal area of extent of the recess, this carrier element having at least one passage for passing light from the inside of the U-shape of the carrier element to the outside in its wall areas in the horizontal area of extent of the recess.
- the first and second carrier elements run in the horizontal area of extent of the recess and overlap in this area in the said horizontal overlap section, the wall areas of both carrier elements each having at least one passage and the passages of the two carrier elements being aligned with one another for the passage of light from the Inside the U-shapes of the support elements to the outside.
- such bushings can be on both transverse sides of the Support elements may be provided.
- the leadthroughs allow light to exit in the transverse direction through the cutout in a particularly advantageous manner, with high stability being ensured at the same time due to the U-shape of the carrier elements and the continuous wall areas which only have at least one leadthrough.
- the term “interior” of the U-shape relates to the area of the U-shape enclosed by the base area and wall area.
- the first carrier element has a first connection side and the second carrier element has a second connection side that corresponds to the first.
- the releasable fixing of the two carrier elements can be made possible via the two corresponding connection sides.
- a releasable connection between the adjacent carrier elements is established by horizontally sliding the carrier elements into one another, this connection being releasable by horizontally sliding apart.
- Securing elements such as screws or latching devices, can preferably be provided which prevent undesired pushing apart and thus loosening of the connection.
- a modular structure can be implemented particularly easily via the corresponding connection sides. By sliding them horizontally into one another, a particularly reliable and simple connection of two adjacent carrier elements can be made possible.
- the luminaire has an operating device which is arranged horizontally within the indirect section between a section of the underside of the first carrier element and the first housing element.
- a connection cable for connecting the lamp is provided which emerges from the top of the direct section, with an electrical cable connection is provided between the operating device and the connection cable and a further electrical cable connection between the operating device and the at least one direct section connected to the indirect section is provided for supplying light sources arranged in this at least one direct section via the operating device, which is shown in the indirect section is arranged.
- the lamp can have several indirect sections and / or several direct sections, all indirect sections having further support elements and further housing elements with the properties explained for the first support element and first housing element can and all direct sections can have further carrier elements and further housing elements with the properties described for the second carrier element and second housing element and each two adjacent sections or two adjacent lighting elements can be arranged and releasably fixed to one another as explained.
- an indirect section is arranged horizontally between two direct sections, each of the direct sections being electrically connected to the operating device of the indirect section.
- the provision of the operating device in the indirect section has proven to be particularly advantageous, since a sufficiently large storage space for an operating device can be provided between the underside of the first carrier element and the first housing element, whereas in the direct sections the greatest possible distance between Carrier element and light exit opening and thus only a smaller storage space is provided between the second carrier element and the second housing element, so that a direct view of the light sources of the direct section can be prevented if possible.
- the exit of the cable from the direct section has proven to be special proved advantageous because then the cable does not interfere with the light emission from the top of the indirect section.
- the cable is preferably guided within the housing elements of the direct section and indirect section from the direct section to the indirect section.
- the top of the lamp is formed in sections by a first optical element and the underside of the lamp is formed in sections by a second optical element.
- Both optical elements are particularly preferably designed to be translucent at their transverse edge regions.
- the edge regions preferably each have an extension of at least 3%, in particular between 3% and 20% of the transverse width of the respective optical element, starting from the respective transverse end, on each transverse side.
- the edge regions of the optical elements extend into the at least one recess provided between the housing elements and cover this recess.
- the first optical element particularly preferably has a transparency of at least 90% between its transverse edge regions and is designed here for the undirected passage of light.
- the second optical element is likewise designed to be translucent between its transverse edge regions or is designed to effect a predetermined direction of light.
- the second optical element can have optics known from the prior art, for example prism optics or a film.
- the first optical element protrudes over at least 80% of its horizontal extent, in particular over at least 90% of its horizontal extent over a vertical extent area at least 0.2 cm, in particular at least 0.4 cm vertically beyond the first housing element.
- the second optical element protrudes over at least 80% of its horizontal extent, in particular over at least 90% of its horizontal extent over a vertical extent of at least 0.2 cm, in particular at least 0.4 cm vertically beyond the second housing element.
- the two optical elements each protrude vertically beyond the housing elements assigned to it, the optical elements can be seen when viewed from the side, since they do not sink into the housing elements, so that when viewed from the side, a light strip running along the horizontal extension of the light is particularly effective can be.
- the first and the second optical element each have a cross-section perpendicular to the horizontal direction, which has a U-shape with a base and side walls extending vertically therefrom, the base of the first optical element in sections forming the top of the lamp and the base second optical element in sections forms the underside of the lamp.
- the two optical elements are particularly preferably designed and arranged in relation to one another in the luminaire in such a way that they overlap horizontally in the region of the recess and are arranged vertically one above the other, in particular bear against one another vertically.
- the first housing element particularly preferably engages behind the first optical element on its upper side in order to hold the first optical element.
- the first optical element is particularly preferably supported relative to the first carrier element or relative to the first housing element via a first support which presses the first optical element against the grip provided by the first housing element.
- the second optical element is particularly preferably supported on the second carrier element or the second housing element via a second support, via which the second optical element is pressed against the grip provided by the second housing element.
- the lamp preferably has several indirect sections and / or several direct sections.
