Definitions
- connection element which has a contact element and an actuating element and is used for mechanical and electrical contacting of a conductor.
- connection elements are required in order to contact preferably electrical strands or conductors mechanically and electrically. Individual stranded conductors or solid conductors of a cable should be connected to a device, a connector, a circuit or other electrical equipment.
- connection element is the connecting element between the conductor or the stranded wire and a further electrical contact of the device, the plug connector or the other electrical device.
- the connection element provides reversible contacting, which ensures both an electrical connection between the conductor and the device in order to transmit signals and power, but the connection element also ensures the mechanical connection of the conductor to the device.
- Such connection elements have long been known from the prior art as alternatives to irreversible connections. Without such reversible connection elements, a line would inevitably have to be soldered or crimped. In both cases, it would not be possible to loosen the conductor or the stranded wire without major mechanical or thermal effort.
- the DE 10 2007 009 082 C5 shows a multipolar electrical connector with a spring contact, wherein for each conductor to be connected to the connector, a first opening is provided, which is designed to receive the conductor.
- a second opening, parallel to the first opening, is adapted to hold an actuation pin which - by sliding in the second opening - acts according to its position on a spring contact of the connector to lock the conductor with the connector or to release it from the connector.
- the conductor is released from the spring contact by means of a tool which is used to pry open the actuating pin.
- connection terminal is used to make contact with an electrical conductor on a busbar received in a holder.
- connection terminal has a link guide, consisting of a closing and a clamping link, and an actuating lever which is guided in the link guide.
- the connector is shown as a kind of toggle clamp. The disadvantage here is that the conductor is connected in two steps.
- a housing in particular a connecting terminal or the like, with a contoured actuating element is disclosed.
- This is a two-part housing with a control contour and a mating contour, the control contour being attached to a housing part and the mating contour to an actuating arm.
- the actuating leg is movable in three dimensions, which, however, disadvantageously results in greater wear.
- connection terminal for connecting conductor ends is from the DE 20 2008 014 469 U1 known.
- the connecting terminal has a control contour-guided actuating element which enables a clamping spring to latch in an open position for easier insertion of an electrical conductor.
- the actuating element is also defined as a conductor passage opening.
- the EP 0 365 888 A1 discloses an electrical connector for flat flexible conductors.
- the electrical conductors are contacted by means of a multi-armed actuating means which can be inserted into the housing of the electrical connector. This enables the simultaneous contacting of several electrical conductors, but prevents individual contacting. Furthermore, contacting different conductors is excluded, which means that the electrical connector only has a special field of application.
- connection elements either enable the user to quickly assemble lines for the first time, but are then cumbersome when they are dismantled and reconnected. Or a certain amount of preparatory work by the user is necessary for the first connection of ladders, which makes rapid assembly of a large number of ladders or strands impossible.
- connection element which is suitable for both stranded conductors and solid conductors.
- the connection element should provide the user with the simplest possible, enable quick and force-free initial installation.
- the connection element should be able to be operated as simply and quickly as possible in the event of a subsequent deinstallation and reinstallation, without the need for special tools or complicated activities for the user.
- the invention is a connection element which consists of a contact element and an actuating element.
- the contact element is designed as an electrical contact element and is provided for electrical and mechanical contacting of an electrical stranded or solid conductor.
- connection element is expediently installed in an insulating body of an electrical device, a plug connector, an electrical circuit or some other electrical system, which must be connected to one or more electrical conductors or wires.
- the connection element can thus be designed as part of such a device and used for the direct connection of conductors or wires to the device.
- a movable contact arm is provided on the contact element for electrical and mechanical contacting of a conductor to be contacted.
- this can be designed as a separate component, which is movably connected to the contact element, or is designed in one piece with the contact arm.
- the preferred, one-piece design of the contact arm with the contact element enables inexpensive production using the stamping and bending process.
- the contact element thus has a clamping area which is formed between the contact arm and a contact surface of the contact element.
- a conductor which is pressed against the contact surface by the contact arm, can be inserted into the clamping area.
- the contact arm is designed in such a way that it is pressed against the contact surface under a pretension.
- the contact arm forms a free end and a fixed end.
- the fixed end forms the transition to the rest of the contact element and is designed in such a way that it is mechanically flexible, so that the free end of the contact arm is movable. In this way, the free end can be bent away from the contact surface.
- the spring force which is generated in the fixed end during the elastic deformation, automatically springs back the free end and is pressed against the contact surface.
- the actuating element and the contact element can be moved relative to one another.
- the contact element is firmly connected to an insulating body in which the connection element is received.
- the actuating element is arranged to be movable, preferably linearly movable, in the insulating body.
- the actuating element is sleeve-shaped.
- the actuating element has an elongated basic shape which has a continuous opening along its length.
- the contact element is arranged in the through opening of the actuating element.
- the actuating element thus surrounds the contact element on four sides. This embodiment enables a particularly space-saving design of the connection element.
- a guide contour is formed on the actuating element.
- a driver corresponding to the guide contour is formed at the free end of the contact arm of the contact element.
- a preferred embodiment provides for the driver to be designed as a pin or bolt, which is oriented transversely to the direction of movement of the contact arm.
- the guide contour is designed as a groove in the actuating element.
- the driver designed as a pin or bolt, can slide along in the guide groove when the actuating element is moved relative to the contact element.
- connection element provides that the free end of the contact arm executes a part-circular movement around the fixed end of the contact arm.
- the direction of movement of the contact arm also describes a circular path, or at least a partial circular path, on which the contact arm moves.
- the guide contour in the actuating element describes at least two areas in which the driver of the contact element is guided.
- the first area is designed as a step which is oriented transversely to the direction of movement of the contact arm is.
- the spring force of the contact arm pushes it onto the step of the first area.
- a particularly preferred embodiment of the first area provides for the step to be provided with a depression. The driver can thus be received in the recess and the actuating element can thereby snap into this open position.
- a movement of the actuating element cannot take place unintentionally. Nevertheless, only a small amount of force is required to move the driver out of the recess, counter to the spring force, by moving the actuating element.
- the second area of the guide contour is designed so that the driver is freely movable in this area between the open position and the closed position.
- the second area is partially circular, the shape corresponding to the direction of movement and the course of movement of the contact arm and / or the driver.
- the contact arm will always assume the closed position in this area, into which it is forced by the spring force of the contact element.
- the second area directly adjoins the first area of the guide contour.
- the connection element can thus be delivered in an open position in which the actuating element is arranged such that the driver is located in the first region of the guide contour. With a short, light movement of the actuating element, the driver slides into the second area of the guide contour and can move freely into the closed position along the part-circular guide.
- a particular embodiment of the invention provides that the guide contour has a third area.
- the third area is designed as a ramp and guides the contact arm from the closed position to the open position when the actuating element is moved by the length of the third area.
- One end of the ramp, which describes the closed position, coincides with the second area.
- the third area is thus provided on the side of the second area facing away from the first area.
- connection element By designing the actuating element with a first, a second and a third area, the connection element can assume three states: A first state, which is defined as the delivery state by the first area of the guide contour. The driver rests on the step in the first area, whereby the connection element is in an open position. The first state is static due to the step, which is oriented transversely to the direction of movement of the contact arm.
- a second state which is defined by the second area of the guide contour.
- the contact arm is free to move from the open position to the closed position and back.
- the spring force acting on the contact arm causes it to move as far as possible into the closed position and thus to jam an inserted conductor or a stranded wire between the contact arm and the contact surface. Due to the free movement of the contact arm and the spring force acting on it, the second state is also static.
- the third state is defined by the ramp in the third area of the guide contour.
- the guide contour forms a further, fourth area.
- the fourth area is designed as a step, similar to the first area, which is oriented transversely to the direction of movement.
- the fourth area adjoins the third area in the open position.
- the actuating element can thus be moved further in the fully open position until the driver slides into the fourth area.
- the fourth area thus defines, just like the first area, a static, fourth state.
- the step in the fourth area can also be modified by a recess in such a way that the actuating element is secured against inadvertent movement into the third area.
- Another special embodiment of the invention provides a fifth area of the guide contour.
- the fifth area is arranged on the first area, facing away from the second area.
- the shape of the fifth area corresponds to the third area and is designed as a ramp.
- the driver can be guided from the force-loaded, closed position into the open position via this ramp of the fifth area.
- the contact arm is opened via the ramp until the driver rests in the first area of the guide contour and the first, open state of the connection element is established.
- a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention provides for the guide contour to be formed only from the first and second areas.
- the second area is not designed in the shape of a part of a circle, but in the shape of a ramp.
- the connection element can both be closed and reopened via the second area of the guide contour.
- the actuating element only has to be moved against the second area, so that the driver returns to the first area.
- connection element Due to the inventive combination of the driver on the contact arm and the guide contour in the actuating element, states of the connection element can be defined in a particularly advantageous manner. In this way, a delivery state that is expedient for the user can be defined, which enables a large number of connection elements to be installed quickly. Nevertheless, it can be dismantled easily, quickly and without special tools. All the objects on which the invention is based are achieved in a particularly advantageous manner.
- connection element 1 shows a connection element 1 according to the present invention in a perspective view ( Figure 1b ) as well as a sectional view ( Fig. 1a ), the connection element 1 in the Fig. 1a is arranged in an insulating body 10.
- connection element 1 is formed from a sleeve-shaped actuating element 3 and a contact element 2 received therein.
- the actuating element 3 is elongated and has an essentially rectangular basic shape. The basic shape is traversed lengthways with an opening.
- the contact element 2 is arranged in the opening.
- an electrical cable is shown, which is inserted into the connection element 1 for contacting.
- the opening of the actuating element 3 thus also serves as a conductor receiving opening of the connection element 1.
- two actuating recesses 31, 32 are molded into the actuating element 3. These are also provided for actuating the actuating element 3.
- the actuating element 3 can be pressed from above with a screwdriver, for example, or levered from the side in order to move it further into the insulating body 10 or out of it.
- the contact element 2 In contrast to the actuating element 3, the contact element 2 is not movably received in the insulating body 10. The contact element 2 is firmly attached in the insulating body 10. A relative movement between the actuating element 3 and the contact element 2 is thus possible.
- the contact element 2 forms a contact surface 7 and a contact arm 4 opposite the contact surface 7.
- the contact arm 4 is flexibly formed in one piece on the contact element 2.
- the spring stiffness and thus the contact force with which the contact arm 4 is pressed in the direction of the contact surface 7 is defined by the material properties of the contact element 2.
- a clamping area 8 is formed between the contact arm 4 and the contact surface 7 and is used for clamping and contacting the inserted cable. A free wire end of the cable can thus be clamped between the contact arm 4 and the contact surface 7, and also mechanically and electrically contacted.
- the contact arm 4 describes a fixed end and a free end 4.1.
- the fixed end is the area in which the contact arm 4 is held on the contact element 2 and is integrally connected to it.
- the free end 4.1 which can spring freely in the direction of the contact surface 7, is equipped with two drivers 5.
- the drivers 5 of the contact arm 4 are provided laterally and engage in the actuating element 3.
- Corresponding guide contours 6, into which the drivers 5 engage, are formed in the actuating element 3.
- the guide contours 6 are introduced into the actuating element 3 identically on both sides.
- the drivers 5 are located in a different area of the guide contour 6. Depending on the position, the free end 4.1 of the contact arm 4 is aligned accordingly. In this way, an open position, as well as a closed position, of the contact arm 4 can be set. A position of the contact element 2 and the actuating element 3 with respect to one another is also provided, in which the drivers 5 are freely movable. In this position (cf. Fig. 2 ) the position of the contact arm 4 can be adjusted flexibly to the strength of an inserted cable.
- the Indian Figure 1 The first state shown defines the delivery state of the connection element 1. In this position, the connection element 1 is open as much as possible.
- the contact arm 4 has its maximum deflection.
- the drivers 5 rest in a first area 6.1 of the guide contours 6.
- the Figure 2 shows the connection element 2 from FIG Figure 1 in a second state.
- the actuating element 3 is pushed further into the insulating body 10.
- the drivers 5 have slid into a second area 6.2 of the guide contours 6.
- the drivers 5 can move freely along the direction of movement of the contact arm 4. This allows the Contact arm 4 can move freely in any position and thus clamp an inserted conductor by its spring force.
- connection element 2 is shown in a fourth state.
- the connection element 2 is open identically to the first state.
- the actuating element 3 is inserted even further into the insulating body 10, as a result of which the drivers 5 rest in a fourth area 6.4 of the guide contours 6.
- This fourth state is particularly advantageous since the actuating element 3 can be actuated by a simple pushing movement in order to open the connecting element 2 again.
- the actuating element 3 does not have to be laboriously pulled out of the insulating body 10. With the same simple push movement, the user can connect an electrical conductor (first state - second state) and disconnect it again (second state - fourth state).
- the third state describes the movement of the actuating element 3 by which the drivers 5 are moved over a third area 6.3 of the guide contours 6 into the fourth area 6.4.
- the third area 6.3 of the guide contours 6 is designed as a ramp which connects the second area 6.2 with the fourth area 6.4. Via this ramp, the contact arm 4 is moved against the spring force into the open position, which it also assumes in the first state.
- the guide contours 6 each have a recess 9 in the first area 6.1 and in the fourth area 6.4.
- the recesses 9 are designed in such a way that the drivers 5 can be received in them, but do not lock firmly in them. This means that the drivers 5 are lifted out of the recesses 9 by moving the actuating element 3 and can slide into another area.
- the recesses 9 are used only Adjustment of the first state and the fourth state. Due to the depressions 9 and the drivers 5 received therein, the actuating element 3 cannot be moved inadvertently with very little expenditure of force. The user or user must apply at least a conscious, slight force in order to influence the state of the connection element 1.
- a guide contour 6 is in the Figure 4 shown sporadically.
- the guide contour 6 is formed in the indicated actuating element 3 (dashed lines) as a groove or slot.
- the schematically illustrated driver 5 executes a movement along the guide contour 6 by displacing the actuating element 3 relative to the contact element 2 along the x direction.
- a permanent force acts on the driver 5 in the y direction.
- the fifth area 6.5 is only intended for assembly purposes. In this fifth area 6.5, the driver can be moved via a ramp into the starting position of the first state in the first area 6.1.
- the first area 6.1 represents the first state, the delivery state.
- the contact arm 4 is maximally deflected and the connection element 1 is thus open.
- the second area 6.2 forms the second, closed state of the connection element 1.
- the contact arm 4 can freely execute a part-circular movement around its fixed end.
- the guide contour 6 is formed in the second area 6.2 identically to the part-circular movement of the contact arm 4. A transfer of the connection element 1 from the second state to the first state is not possible by moving the actuating element 3.
- the third area 6.3 forms a ramp identical to the fifth area 6.5.
- the connection element 1 can be opened again via this ramp of the third area 6.3, in that the driver 5 is moved via the ramp into a position of maximum deflection of the contact arm 4. Due to the force constantly acting on the driver 5 in the y direction, the connection element 1 in this third area 6.3 always assumes the closed position of the second state.
- the fourth area 6.4 adjoins the third area 6.3 as an optional area.
- the connection element 1 can remain fixed in a fourth, open state, identical to the first state.
- the actuating element 3 only has to be moved briefly against the x-direction until the driver 5 is again in the third area 6.3 of the guide contour 6 and the spring force acting on it automatically moves the connection element 1 into the second, forcing closed state.
