In this way, the device for slow release of progesterone according to the present model can be easily reused several times, being only necessary to sterilize it and replace the removable part 11 with a new part.
  • the present invention reduces this risk, since the application of the device is performed by guiding the device itself inside the vaginal canal with the aid of the removable tube that is also part of the device, therefore, with no need to apply a force of plunger against the animal to release the body with progesterone.
  • the removable tube 3 has dimensions smaller than the progesterone-impregnated body itself, and smaller than the state-of-the-art applicator tubes, which also contributes to reducing the risk of injury.
  • the embodiment of the device according to the present model which is handled and guided directly by the removable tube, being exempt of large tubes and plungers, allows for the person applying the device inside the animal body to have a greater sensitivity in the application, consequently having a better idea of the depth at which the device is being applied, and better precision in its positioning.

Claims (5)

  1. Dispositif de libération lente de progestérone dans un animal, comprenant :
    un corps (1) au moins partiellement imprégné de progestérone ;
    deux extensions flexibles (2) s'étendant à partir d'une extrémité du corps (1), et dont les extrémités opposées au corps s'incurvent en s'éloignant l'une de l'autre, et un câble (4),
    caractérisé par
    chacune des deux extensions flexibles (2) comprenant un œillet (6) dans la partie proche des extrémités s'incurvant en s'éloignant, les œillets (6) des deux extensions flexibles étant alignés axialement l'un par rapport à l'autre, avec les extensions flexibles dans une position étendue ;
    un tube amovible (3) couplé à l'extrémité du corps opposée aux extensions flexibles (2) ;
    le câble (4) traversant l'intérieur du corps (1) et l'intérieur du tube (3), une première extrémité proche des extensions flexibles (2) étant reliée à une broche (5) couplée aux œillets (6), et une seconde extrémité libre s'étendant à l'extérieur du corps (1) et du tube (3) sur le côté opposé aux extensions flexibles (2) ;
    la broche (5) étant couplée aux œillets alignés (6), avec les extensions flexibles (2) dans la position étendue ; et
    la broche (5) étant actionnée par le câble et découplée des œillets (6), dans lequel les extensions flexibles (2) sont déverrouillées et adoptent une position incurvée.
  2. Dispositif selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que le tube amovible (3) est réalisé en un matériau jetable.
  3. Dispositif selon la revendication 1 ou 2, caractérisé en ce que le tube amovible (3) a un diamètre inférieur au diamètre du corps (1) imprégné de progestérone.
  4. Dispositif selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 3, caractérisé en ce que le corps est constitué d'un support (12) et d'une partie amovible (11) imprégnée de progestérone, couplée au support.
  5. Dispositif selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 4, caractérisé en ce que le corps (1) est constitué d'une seule pièce.
