Definitions

  • the invention relates to a cooktop with a ventilation device and a cooktop surface for placing pots and pans, wherein the ventilation device comprises an air inlet opening arranged in a recess of the cooktop surface, a fan for drawing in air through the air inlet opening and a grease filter.
  • a classic extractor hood is positioned above the cooktop. The steam and fumes, which rise due to their heat, can be extracted very effectively.
  • a disadvantage of this solution is the limited space available for the grease filter beneath the cooktop surface and the resulting difficulty in making it removable for cleaning. Furthermore, dirt and liquids fall into the extractor hood through the air intake opening. Therefore, a dirt collection device that can be removed for emptying must be provided.
  • EP 3 722 677 The image shows a cooktop with an integrated extractor fan featuring grease and odor filters. The odor filters are not removable.
  • WO 2020/212261 It also shows a range hood with grease and odor filters.
  • WO 2019/096701 A1 relates to a cooktop extractor device which has at least one extraction opening in the top, a fan arranged offset downwards to the extraction opening and a connecting channel between the extraction opening and the fan.
  • EP 3 978 811 A1 This relates to a range hood for installation below a cooktop, comprising a fan for extracting fumes and an intake chamber with an inlet opening for drawing in fumes from above the cooktop and a through-opening for directing the fumes in the intake chamber to the fan, wherein a mounting section for magnetically attaching an odor filter unit in the intake chamber in front of the through-opening is provided.
  • the odor filter has a first air inlet surface and a second air inlet surface, which are angled relative to each other. are arranged and connected to each other by a coupling magnet. Illustration of the invention
  • downstream defines the order in which components are arranged within the airflow or airflow duct of the extractor hood. If the odor filter is located downstream of the grease filter, this means that the air entering the extractor hood first passes through the grease filter and only subsequently through the odor filter.
  • the extractor hood is primarily a recirculating system, which blows the filtered air back into the kitchen. Alternatively, the extractor hood can also vent the air to the outside.
  • the odor filter has a first air inlet surface and a second air inlet surface, which are arranged at an angle to each other greater than 2°, in particular greater than 5°, and in particular greater than 10°. Both the grease filter and the odor filter can be removed for cleaning through the cutout in the cooktop surface. A separate opening for Maintenance of any of these components is therefore unnecessary.
  • the air inlet surfaces are designed to be flat, and the odor filter specifically comprises only these two air inlet surfaces, namely the first air inlet surface and the second air inlet surface, and thus no further air inlet surfaces.
  • the arrangement of two air inlet surfaces at a specific positive angle to each other means that not all air inlet surfaces of the odor filter lie in a single plane.
  • the odor filter has a bend, so that the first air inlet surface is at an angle to the second air inlet surface.
  • a bent or angled odor filter has the advantage that, due to its geometry, it can also be removed from the extractor hood through a narrow air inlet opening. The air inlet opening should not be too large, as this reduces the usable surface area of the cooktop.
  • a portion, particularly more than half, of the total air outlet area of the grease filter, and in particular the entire air outlet area of the grease filter is arranged at an angle of no more than 45°, particularly no more than 30°, and in particular no more than 15°, to a vertical plane relative to the cooktop surface.
  • These angular intervals also include an angle of 0°. This ensures that the grease filter is not arranged horizontally like the odor filter, but vertically. With a vertical arrangement of the grease filter, the air flows horizontally through it and is then deflected to flow vertically through the horizontally arranged odor filter.
  • the odor filter is arranged laterally to the grease filter and/or between the grease filter and the edge of the cooktop.
  • laterally is to be understood in relation to a conventional cooktop arrangement. “Laterally” thus means that the odor filter is not located below the grease filter, but to the side.
  • the odor filter is arranged in an air duct section which is designed such that the airflow direction changes direction within it.
  • a change in airflow direction is understood to mean a change of direction of more than 90°, in particular more than 120°, and in particular more than 150°.
  • the odor filter is an activated carbon filter and/or it has a fixed shape and/or a handle.
  • a "fixed shape” means that the odor filter cannot be folded or rolled up. Its shape is fixed and cannot be changed.
  • the grease filter and the odor filter are arranged in such a way and The design ensures that the odor filter can only be removed once the grease filter has been removed through the recess, and that the odor filter can be removed immediately after the grease filter has been removed. This means that no further components need to be removed after the grease filter has been taken out in order to access and remove the odor filter.
  • the Fig. 1 The figure shows a cooktop with a cooking surface 1 for placing pots 2 and pans.
  • the cooktop is shown in its standard installation position.
  • the terms top, bottom, left, right are used as in Fig. 1
  • the cooktop surface 1 is shown.
  • a cooktop edge 3 is present on each side of the cooktop surface. It borders the cooktop surface 1.
  • the cooktop has an air inlet opening 4 in the center, which is located in a recess in the cooktop surface 1.
  • the air inlet opening 4 forms the inlet to the extractor hood, which is located below the cooktop surface 1.
  • the extractor hood also includes an air duct 5 and a grease filter.
  • the unit consists of a grease filter 6, an odor filter 7, and a fan 8.
  • the fan 8 draws in air through the air inlet opening 4, which then flows through the air duct 5.
  • the arrows indicate the airflow through the air duct 5.
  • the air flows through the grease filter 6.
  • the air flows through the odor filter 7, which is located downstream of the grease filter 6.
  • the air then flows horizontally below the grease filter 6 to the fan 8. After passing the fan 8, the air exits the extractor hood.
  • the grease filters 6 are arranged almost vertically. They are positioned at an angle A of approximately 10° to the dashed line 11, which represents the vertical line to the cooktop surface 1.
  • Line 12 shows an extension of the left grease filter 6. Due to the vertical arrangement, the grease filter 6 can be easily removed through the air inlet opening 4. Together with the drip tray 13, the grease filter 6 forms a removable unit.
  • the air flows through the grease filter 6 and exits at the external air outlet 61.
  • the air then flows to the left towards the odor filter 7, which is located to the side of the grease filter 6.
  • the fan 8 and the odor filter 7 are positioned opposite each other in relation to the grease filter 6.
  • the odor filter 7 is also located between the grease filter 6 and the edge of the cooktop 3.
  • the odor filter 7 can be an activated carbon filter. It has a first flat air inlet surface 71 and a second flat air inlet surface 72. These are arranged at an angle B of approximately 10° to each other. The odor filter 7 thus has a bend 73, which separates the two air inlet surfaces 71 and 72 from each other.
  • the first air inlet surface 71 is horizontal and thus parallel to the cooktop surface 1.
  • the second air inlet surface 72 is at an angle B at approximately 10° to the hob surface 1.
  • the odor filter 7 has a first air outlet surface 74, which is arranged parallel to the first air inlet surface 71, and a second air outlet surface 75, which is arranged parallel to the second air outlet surface 72.
  • the odor filter 7 lies horizontally in the extractor hood.
  • An angle C of approximately 80° is formed between the air outlet surface 61 of the grease filter 6 and the first air inlet surface 71.
  • the angle between the air outlet surface 61 of the grease filter 6 and the second air inlet surface 72 of the odor filter 6 is approximately 90°. This relative inclination of the two filters results in a change of direction in the airflow within the air duct 5.
  • a reversal of direction of approximately 160° occurs between the first air duct section 51 and the second air duct section 52.
  • the odor filter 7 is positioned at the midpoint of this reversal.
  • the Fig. 2 The diagram shows how to remove the odor filter 7 through the air inlet opening 4. Removing the odor filter 7 is possible because the grease filter 6 has already been removed through the air inlet opening 4. After removing the grease filter 6, the odor filter 7 can be removed immediately. No other components need to be removed.
  • the odor filter 7 has a fixed shape, meaning it cannot be folded or rolled up, for example. It can be easily removed through the narrow air inlet opening 4 due to the bend 73. The user grasps the odor filter 7 by the handle 76 and pulls it out through the air inlet opening 4.
