Abstract
LA INVENCION TRATA DEL EMPLEO DE UN MEDICAMENTO CON UNA MEZCLA DE SUSTANCIAS Y DEL EMPLEO DE UNA MEZCLA DE SUSTANCIAS BASADA EN SUSTANCIAS ACTIVAS DE LA PLANTA HYPERICUM (HIPERICO) EN LA PRODUCCION DE UN MEDICAMENTO. LOS EXTRACTOS DEL HIPERICO SE EMPLEAN DESDE HACE MUCHO TIEMPO EN MEDICINA, SIN EMBARGO, HASTA AHORA, SU USO HA ESTADO LIMITADO AL CAMPO DE LOS DESORDENES PSICOGENOS Y LAS ALTERACIONES DEL SUEÑO. LOS EXTRACTOS DE ESTE TIPO CONTIENEN PEQUEÑAS CANTIDADES DE DIONES POLICICLICOS (HIPERICINA, PSEUDOHIPERICINA Y/O SUS SALES). RECIENTEMENTE SE HA OBSERVADO UN EFECTO ANTIVIRAL, EN ESPECIAL ANTIRRETROVIRAL, DE LA HIPERICINA Y LA PSEUDOHIPERICINA CUANDO SU PUREZA ES MAXIMA. SIN EMBRAGO, LA ADMINISTRACION DE PREPARADOS DE ESTE TIPO TIENE IMPORTANTES EFECTOS SECUNDARIOS QUE IMPIDEN SU APLICACION TERAPEUTICA. DE ACUERDO CON LA INVENCION, LA SUSTANCIA ACTIVA HIPERICINA/PSEUDOHIPERICINA NO SE ADMINISTRA EN SU GRADO DE MAXIMA PUREZA, SINO QUE SE MEZCLA CON OTROS COMPONENTES QUE SON CONOCIDOS COMO COMPONENTES DEL EXTRACTO VEGETAL. LA CONCENTRACION DE HIPERICINA/PSEUDOHIPERICINA SE SITUA ENTRE EL 0,05 Y EL 50 %. DE ESTE MODO SE CONSIGUE, POR UNA PARTE, UN BUEN EFECTO ANTIRRETROVIRAL Y, POR OTRA PARTE, EVITAR LOS EFECTOS SECUNDARIOS NO DESEADOS.
