Abstract
Un aislante que comprende: una pluralidad de láminas de nanotubos posicionadas una encima de la otra; una pluralidad de nanotubos que definen cada lámina, y se configuran de manera que minimicen la conductividad térmica normal al plano a través de cada lámina; y una pluralidad de separadores situados entre las láminas de nanotubos adyacentes para reducir contacto entre láminas, a fin de minimizar aún más la conductividad térmica normal al plano a través de las láminas, en donde cada lámina de nanotubos incluye un dopante para disminuir la conductividad térmica normal al plano y en donde el dopante es boro, carbono 13, un material de CNT irradiado, o una de sus combinaciones.
