Abstract

A spinneret for conjugate spinning comprises a filter block 5 having two eccentrically arranged filters 6, 7, a spinneret plate 12 provided with a plurality of orifices 24 arranged around its circumference and a distributer 10, 11 between said filter block and said spinneret plate by means of which the two spinning solutions from the filter plate are distributed to each orifice, characterized in that the distributer consists of a main distributing channel 13, 14 and subdistributing channels 15, 16, and having a distributing efficiency of at least 90% when calculated using the formula: wherein X = maximum pressure loss in the main distributing channel, and y = pressure loss in the sub-distributing channel. The main and subdistributing channels suitably are of circular cross-section, but may be otherwise (e.g. square as in Fig. 3) provided that the radii of the circles circumscribing their shapes allow the value of the following formula to be at least 90%: wherein R and r are the radii of the said circles for main- and sub-distributing channels respectively, m is the number of sub-distributing channels, I is the length of each thereof, and L is the distance between each one. Further detail along lines B-B1, C-C1, D-D1 and E-E1 is shown in Figs. 4-7 (not reproduced). In another embodiment (Fig. 8, not reproduced) channels 14, 15 are replaced by one single channel (20) which leads from filter 6 to the space 21. The two spinning solutions are joined at the edge of the annular separator 23. The spinning of nylon-6 is exemplified.
