Abstract

In the planographic printing method, printing inks containing binders, pigments and organic solvents are transferred from an inking unit onto a lithographic printing plate cylinder and from the latter via a blanket cylinder onto a material to be printed. At least 60 percent by weight of the organic solvents of the printing inks have a boiling range of 100 to 200 DEG C, in particular of 150-200 DEG C. The printing inks are transferred inside the inking unit onto the printing plate cylinder via a screen roller, on which a doctor blade rests, and via an ink transfer roller arranged downstream of the screen roller. Furthermore, the invention relates to a planographic printing machine, the inking unit of which has a screen roller, on which a doctor blade rests, and an ink transfer roller arranged between the screen roller and the printing plate cylinder.
