ANTIBIOTICUS O UNA MUTANTE DERIVADA DE ESTA CEPA, PRODUCTORA DEL ANTIBIOTICO TUV 1718 SE CULTIVA AEROBICAMENTE EN UN MEDIO NUTRIENTE LIQUIDO CONTENIENDO UNA FUENTE DE CARBONO, UNA FUENTE DE NITROGENO Y SALES INORGANCIAS, HASTA QUE LA SOLUCION NUTRIENTE MUESTRE EL EFECTO ANTIBIOTICO, DICHO ANTIBIOTICO O SUS COMPONENTES COMO EL (2S, 5S)-2-(2-HIDROXIETIL)-CLAV AM, SE AISLAN POR MEDIOS DE FILTRADO O CENTRIFUGADO. EL CULTIVO SE REALIZAA TEMPERATURAS COMPRENDIDAS ENTRE 18 Y 40JC Y DURANTE 2 A 3 DIAS.
