Abstract

Device enabling the relative accurate positioning of two geometrical axes (22, 23) belonging respectively to two elements (1, 2), at least one of said elements being associated to means capable of providing for its displacement. The device is characterized in that it comprises in combination at least two acoustic transmitter-receivers (A1, C1) arranged in a first plane substantially perpendicular to one of said geometric axes, said axis being qualified as first axis, and emitting towards said axis, the two transmitters-receivers being situated on a straight line which does not cut said first axis and in that it comprises a third transmitter-receiver situated outside said plane (A2, C2). The present invention may be used for carrying out from a distance the connection of two conduits which are optionally immersed.
