Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif d'affichage de radar destiné à afficher des cibles se déplaçant à faible vitesse. Le dispositif comprend un écran 1 à plasma sur lequel l'affichage est formé à partir de données relatives à la cible et aux détails topographiques, qui sont fournies par un ordinateur 2. Les points de l'affichage formé sur l'écran 1 sont effacés séparément de façon aléatoire ou pseudo-aléatoire par un générateur 4 de nombres aléatoires ou pseudo-aléatoires de sorte que l'histoire de la cible est affichée sur l'écran 1 en s'éteignant progressivement et en produisant ainsi sur la trace une tête brillante et une queue de moins en moins brillante, réalistes. Le dispositif est notamment utilisé dans les radars de surveillance côtière.
