Dispositif d'appui, notamment pour échelle. Il est caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend une plaque dotée de moyens de fixation à l'élément auquel ledit dispositif est associé, ladite plaque comportant sur sa face antérieure deux guides longitudinaux et une bride transversale, susceptible de recevoir par l'une quelconque de ses deux positions opposées, une tige de section transversale en forme de croix et qui s'adapte sous ladite bride et entre lesdits guides; ladite tige pouvant glisser librement en direction longitudinale et être bloquée dans l'une quelconque de ses positions au moyen d'une vis de pression se logeant dans un orifice ménagé dans la bride et dont l'extrémité peut s'engager dans l'un quelconque d'une série de logements ménagés dans ladite tige. Application notamment aux échelles, échafaudages, étais, etc.
