Abstract

L'invention concerne un palier intermédiaire (8) pour l'arbre de transmission articulé, en plusieurs parties, d'un véhicule automobile. Le carter (9) du palier intermédiaire (8) reçoit un corps de palier élastique (22) dans lequel est logé un roulement (37) étanche à vie. Pour maintenir le corps de palier (22) dans le carter (9), on utilise un support (41) qui comporte des languettes de maintien (44) qui sont destinées à maintenir le support (41) sur le carter (9). Par ailleurs, le support (41) comporte des languettes de blocage (45) entre-lesquelles est maintenu axialement le corps de palier (22). Le support peut être relié au carter (9) à la manière d'un système à baïonnette. La fixation se fait par ailleurs au moyen d'une languette de tôle (50), qui est fixée sur le carter (9) en rabattant les bords.
