Claims (11)

  1. Article composite pour chromatographie, comprenant :
    (a) une matrice formée de fibrilles de polytétrafluoréthylène, et
    (b) des particules sorbantes, non gonflables, emmêlées dans cette matrice, le rapport des particules sorbantes non gonflables au polytétrafluoréthylène étant de l'ordre de 19/1 à 4/1 en poids,
    cet article composite ayant une énergie superficielle nette de l'ordre de 20 à 300 milliNewtons par mètre.
  2. Article chromatographique suivant la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que les particules non gonflables susdites sont des particules d'oxydes inorganiques, des particules de composés organiques, notamment de polymères, et des particules d'échange d'ions.
  3. Article chromatographique suivant l'une ou l'autre des revendications 1 et 2, caractérisé en ce que les particules non gonflables précitées sont constituées par au moins l'un des oxydes formés par la silice et la zircone.
  4. Article chromatographique suivant la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que les particules non gonflables susdites sont faites d'hydroxylapatite.
  5. Article chromatographique suivant l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 4, caractérisé en ce que les particules comportent en outre une couche d'un revêtement organique lié par covalence, ou un revêtement d'un polymère non gonflable.
  6. Article chromatographique suivant l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 5, qui a été soumis à un traitement par faisceau électronique.
  7. Article chromatographique suivant l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 6, caractérisé en ce que la matrice précitée comprend en outre au moins l'un des produits suivants : (1) une quantité de l'ordre de plus de 0 et allant jusqu'à 28,99 parties, par partie de PTFE, de particules non gonflables, modifiant les propriétés, et (2) des particules gonflables dans l'eau, modifiant les propriétés, en une quantité allant jusqu'à 30 % en poids du total des particules.
  8. Article chromatographique suivant la revendication 7, caractérisé en ce que les particules non gonflables, modifiant les propriétés, sont choisies dans le groupe comprenant : carbonate de calcium, carbonate d'ammonium, kaolin, sucre, polyéthylènes, polypropylènes, polyesters, polyamides, polyuréthannes, polycarbonates, zéolites, chitosan, perles de verre, vermiculite, argile, céramiques, particules colorantes et fluorescentes, modificateurs du pH, et particules enrobées de ces substances, et les particules gonflables dans l'eau précitées, modifiant les propriétés, sont choisies dans le groupe comprenant : amidon, amidons modifiés, agarose, polyacrylamides, particules d'échange d'ions ou de chélation, matières cellulosiques, polyméthacrylates, copolymères de styrène et de divinylbenzène, et chitosan.
  9. Article chromatographique suivant l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 8, caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend en outre un substrat.
  10. Article chromatographique suivant l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 9, qui est sous la forme d'une bande, d'une feuille ou d'un disque.
  11. Procédé de séparation chromatographique, comprenant les phases suivantes :
    (a) le dépôt d'une solution contenant des composants séparables suivant une configuration circulaire continue ou en taches sur un article en forme de feuille chromatographique rotatif suivant l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 10, pour former une zone continue ou en taches, circulaire, de la solution déposée,
    (b) l'application d'un solvant sur l'article en forme de feuille chromatographique susdit, tout juste à l'intérieur de la zone circulaire précitée, tandis que cet article est mis en rotation continue, pour provoquer une migration différentielle des composants précités et leur séparation, et
    (c) éventuellement, la récolte individuelle de ces composants séparés résultants.
